  3. No guarantees it wont have the same issues but people are welcome to play the test server with the mod. It is listed as 'beta 10', and thus considered a different mod and requires a download, but it is the same mod as was on the main server last week. But it seems the restart problem in the afternoons is infrequent so you could all just put up with that instead. 192.95.22.174:28960

  5. There is a ow2 test server and has been for long time. It is used for major updates as opposed to incremental bug fixes for the main server. Before the main server was switched over that one was used by myself and others that generously gave of their time to put it through its paces. Once things looked stable the main server was switched for a short time to see how it went. Often we dont really know until there are 72 hours of a full server and players doing all kinds of wacky shit that might have been missed. Cant plan for every conceivable scenario. If all goes without problems great. Otherwise step back, restore the previous mod (for awhile the b5 mod), make adjustments and repeat. To be honest there is another reason for the constant upgrades, so to speak. And that is to keep up with newer games as much as possible so the mod... and ftag itself... doesnt get stale. You tell me. Which mod makes for the better ftag game? OW2 or G13? Matter of opinion. My highly biased one is OW2. But I wont go to that server and say so their faces.
  6. Also bear in mind I often hear "Sammy can you add this or that". Sometimes they are great ideas and I see what I can do. Other times they probably wouldnt be good for the game. Or others just arent feasible or possible. In this particular case, there havent been any major changes done in awhile. Other than some minor additions it was bug fixes, various improvements to existing stuff, or adjusting things if they dont seem to work well for what their intended purpose was. As for 'off site' development, where? And with whom? There is a nice thing about having it developed here. XI gets everything first before others do. Even if there are issues to work out while we go. One of those issues is whether or not YOU think it is fun and fair for everybody. Or if it not so fun then how to make it better so it is.

  8. You mean as in the above vid? I found the problem with it and it happens if the ragdoll body from a dead player falls off something and never hits anything to allow it to stop. Will require a minor bit of rewriting to fix it but all these server issues have been the priority of course.
  9. Actually. You are using the old mod. It has been rolled back to the way it was on November 2nd. Long before all these issues started happening. Which is why some of those debug messages are back. The reason was to see if any mod change made since that date were contributing to the problem. In any case.... dont have a spaz and openly say peoples work is a piece of shit when everybody knows full well that the issues are being worked on from multiple angles.

  12. Info: Rolled back the b9 modff file to the previous version from last month before all the troubles. Also disabled all server-side script fixes. Will see what happens. Keep in mind that some bugs will be back while we try and hopefully narrow down the problem.
  13. Do you know... from any previous experiments... if you could be shot and killed? edit: Just for reference, how many others have experienced this lately? And if so, which maps and where were you when it happened?
  14. Renegades is a fan-film. Which is why it looks cheap. We know next to nothing about what the new series will be about. Yes lets hope they dont use that music again. Considering many fans hate the new Enterprise they might actually cheer its destruction. At least on the inside. And whats up with that hair?
  15. Most anything can look great in trailers. However all the elements are there for a great movie. On that note, SW had its premiere and by many accounts its very good.
  16. Ok. So it looks like the first time you didnt respawn frozen on the ledge but respawned without a weapon. You jumped off a ledge but didnt die and fell forever. Strange. You should have been suicided as soon as you hit the invisible barrier on the bottom.
  17. The bubble is ignored for defrosting. You must get the player body. The way its supposed to work is that when the dead body comes to rest that is where you are frozen at. Deals with situations such as being killed in the air. So in this case, did the body ever hit anything? What actually happened to you? Did you fall forever? Land at the bottom of the map? Anyways, you should also be respawning frozen if you go from spec. Meant to prevent people from doing that to defrost themselves. That is a bug I thought was fixed.

  19. Ok from what it looked like the dead body fell off but you didnt respawn frozen. Or did you cut off part of the vid?
  20. Just for info, the uav defroster should be disabled so nobody can choose it as an option. Did this to narrow down the problem. If anyone still have is it in their loadout please change it.
  21. Anything happen in those three minutes, at the time of the crash, that might be something for me to look at?

  23. Server running. Zero guarantees about issues.

  25. I am at a complete loss what the problem is. Zero errors I can find in the logs that might suggest what is happening. So, redoing the modff file so there are no server-side scripts. No idea if a problem is there because I have done that all the time to fix bugs in the past. There are some suspects I have and will see what happens. For the time being the uav defroster will be shut down. Which is one of the suspects since it is the only significant change in the last few weeks so it can be shot down. The rest took care of minor issues that, in themselves, werent enough to cause a server to reboot. Just short CI's at worst. Unlike this one, those errors got printed out so I knew where to track them down. IIf anyone recalls, was shooting at an active uavdefroster a common event when there was a problem? I have seen that happen several times here with no issues so I dont know.
