Developers should never give in to the whiners. Listen to what they have to say. Then do what you feel is best for the game. Not for them. Unless of course the decision is to allow the whiners to run their own private servers and make their own changes so they are happy.

Giving the state the power to execute people without allowing full access to the justice system is a very tricky thing. Once you start giving them the leeway to start making changes there might be some that will push for taking away access many might consider very important. Have to be careful about the tyranny of the majority acting on their emotions. This guy will get injected, electocuted, or whatever. Hopefully all of the above. But any changes made so he can be killed faster will remain after he is gone. A woman this week just got released after 17 years in prison for a crime she didnt commit. Make one small change... such as allowing banks to get more involved in the stock market... can nearly bring down an entire country.

Sounds good to me. Quick scoping a heavy long barrelled rifle is one of the stupidest things the game allows. Personally I think a better way to do it is make the scope cover animations work every time. Raise the weapon, open the cover on the scope, and put it up to your eye. Lower the weapon, close the cover again. Problem solved.

The script additions that allow moving spawns on that map and a few others after they load seems to work ok and I will upload this week. OW based mods already have a method to do this kind of thing but the map designer put a shit load of spawn points on the map for some strange reason and they were more than the spawn mover could handle. So had to do it differently.

I agree the case is a bit much. There are plenty of nice cases for 1/2 that much and the money saved can be used elsewhere. edit: After looking at all the water cooling stuff I suppose a case with glass on the side is a must so you can check it all out now and then for leaks without having to take the cover off. In which case the extra cost would probably be worth it. I am still not sold on water cooling because when it goes wrong the whole rig goes bye bye.

Assuming it is a clan-member joining, kicks of non-clan members are determined solely on playtime. The player with the least amount of time in the server is kicked. Last one in, first one out. Like jobs. When a player is spectating his playtime doesnt increase but he is still counted as a clan member. Playtime carries over to the next round. Beyond that: I spent a lot of time and worked on several different methods to include additional weights even getting to the point where it counted k/d ratios. Whether or not a particluar weight was fair or had the right priority depended on who you asked. Snipers have low scores but usually high k/d. Add time played to that. Then it becomes a judgement call on how to balance it all compared to specops. That class usually has higher scores and closer k/d. Again add playtime. And finally which is more important? Score or playtime? Before you ask, 'majority rules' doesnt work. So the decision of sticking to time played was between myself and Rugger.

No. But it has as much to do with the community as the game. I dont want to have to deal with servers full of obnoxious kids. Gone are the days where private servers can enforce behavior rules and kick kiddies that behave badly.
