If... and its a big *IF*... what I am reading suggests the problem then it also happens when a players map download is redirected. So if this happens check out to see if anyone has a ping of 999, which typically means the player is downloading something. A lot or narrowing down problems requires looking at different observations, which could actually mean nothing at all, to see if there is a pattern to show where to look.

No it was meant as a metaphor and a bit of a cliche. When there is a problem Windows users reinstall back to the basics and do all the service packs and security updates again. Linux users find and fix the problem. I will be monitoring logs thoughtout the evening, except during dinner and the game, and see what happens. To answer your question... nothing. So earlier I made a change that cuts down on some playerconnect things that were still there but likely unneeded by unranked mods. Will see if it helps. Keep an eye on that one. Around the time people connect. How many players at the time. When in the round. Whether or not the round itself at the time is full of action or relatively slow.

Open your console and try setting com_maxfps to a higher number. Default should be 85 tho.

That often means the server and redirect versions of the map are not the same. Will check into that today.

Developers should never give in to the whiners. Listen to what they have to say. Then do what you feel is best for the game. Not for them. Unless of course the decision is to allow the whiners to run their own private servers and make their own changes so they are happy.

Giving the state the power to execute people without allowing full access to the justice system is a very tricky thing. Once you start giving them the leeway to start making changes there might be some that will push for taking away access many might consider very important. Have to be careful about the tyranny of the majority acting on their emotions. This guy will get injected, electocuted, or whatever. Hopefully all of the above. But any changes made so he can be killed faster will remain after he is gone. A woman this week just got released after 17 years in prison for a crime she didnt commit. Make one small change... such as allowing banks to get more involved in the stock market... can nearly bring down an entire country.

Sounds good to me. Quick scoping a heavy long barrelled rifle is one of the stupidest things the game allows. Personally I think a better way to do it is make the scope cover animations work every time. Raise the weapon, open the cover on the scope, and put it up to your eye. Lower the weapon, close the cover again. Problem solved.

The script additions that allow moving spawns on that map and a few others after they load seems to work ok and I will upload this week. OW based mods already have a method to do this kind of thing but the map designer put a shit load of spawn points on the map for some strange reason and they were more than the spawn mover could handle. So had to do it differently.
