My main reason for moving to the BA is family. But if in the future that is no longer a factor, which is a possibility, then who knows. I am a California coastal native and like it here but its just really expensive. But if/when I do move its not going to be to Bakersfield. I dont like big cities. But being able to get around without driving is one of those things I have to keep in mind that can happen at any time. Which has happened a couple times in the past. Reminds me tho. If I want to fly anywhere to check out locations I have to order a birth certificate from the county. Otherwise I wont be able to get the newer drivers license with the DHS required identification for air travel.

Hi I am just curious if anyone has bought prescription glasses specifically for computer use (3-4 feet). I think using my monitor has been causing me slight headaches for a little while now... or kind of a numbness I guess but not painful... and with my aging eyes maybe its time. My current pair are for mid-to-far. Since they are basic work glasses and nothing fancy lenscrafters... who I have never used before... can make them up quickly. Otherwise the optometrist I have used will take two weeks and I dont know if they would be any better for basic glasses.

Which area, if I may ask.

I just have some questions about the areas around it. Possibilities some point the future if I move out of the Bay Area depending on whether or not certain things take place. Certainly is a lot cheaper than here for what you get. Maybe nearish Windermere since that sounds like a nice area. Would be a *BIG* move from California. But then again not so big of a move I suppose from Alaska. ?

Picked out a bunch that I dont recall seeing on the server. Many were a no-go such as the ultra-huge 'remastered' versions of stock maps that likely used assets from the re-released cod4. Likely a lot of ported high-poly models pushing FF memory requirements to twice their originals. Also a couple older ones that I already knew didnt work in the past but tried anyways just to see. However quite a few did load properly and were pretty good. A newer 'Crash' map with some expanded areas. Also a new 'Bloc' map, day and night. A few BO2 maps as well.

Its a nice map. Not the biggest map I have seen but not really playable for freezetag unless a full server.

Moving from Monterey to Walnut Creek. Going to miss it here but gotta do what you gotta do. Condo's are just as expensive here if that was my choice. Who knows what the future may hold. But barring something bad happening in the housing market, when I do sell/move again I would still be able to afford something much nicer in another area of the country. If circumstances permit and its an area I would like. Maybe next door to Disneyworld and get a yearly pass. ?

As some of you already know I have been in the process of selling the house and moving to the Bay Area. Down scaling a lot, and moving close to family, since a house is just too much and too expensive to maintain for one occupant (yours truly). It is currently in escrow and barring any major issues it closes about the middle of next month. Of course housing prices being what they are condos there can be pricey. But I will own one without a mortgage, which is good. And also being that area prices continually go up for when I sell in the future sometime. After lots of scouting and hunting there is a place I will be putting an offer on. It will be contingent on this one but it gets my name in the hat. I basically have a whole life worth of stuff to decide on whether to keep or not. A lot I already did but there is always more. I wont have a lot of room and I already know I will have to rent a storage place. Hopefully only a small one. More to follow and fingers crossed.
