  1. I may have experienced the biggest change in ping, from 30s to 130s since I moved between continents while the server only moved to Chicago. But I think comparing the new server to my gameplay from a year ago before I came to the US would give a better comparison. I'm playing on a laptop, and I always had to keep both the charging cable and the Ethernet cable connected, or else I would get constant CIs that made the game unplayable for me. With the new server, I tried playing using WiFi only, and I rarely get any CIs now. Unplugging the charging cable and the Ethernet cable still affects my gameplay, but on the old server I wouldn't even be able to move when doing that, and now I can play with only slight stuttering doing so. I already had CoD4x installed on my computer and had played on other CoD4x servers before, and I would still experience the same problem there, but not on the new server. While I was fully connected with the cables and only getting CIs once in a while, people on the old server would still often tell me that I was lagging and that bullets were going through me even though I wouldn't feel the lag on my end. Maybe some people could tell me if they still feel the same after I shoot them now. I'm not very knowledgeable about tech, and I'm sure many of you here could explain the effects of using these cables, but I wanted to share my experience to appreciate whatever changes @iboomboom made indeed improved the gameplay for me, and I trust everything else will continue to improve. I'm still jet-lagged after a trip that took about 24 hours with layovers, so I might be imagining all of this, and if so, please don't mind me and I'll update my experience later on.
  2. Dukoooooooo, welcome back!
  3. Happy birthday!
  4. My K/D ratio got worse since I got the tags, but I assume that’s part of being an Idiot. Thank you all!
  5. Thank you, and I haven't met up with anyone yet. I haven’t made any plans for what’s ahead other than going back to my previous job, but would love to come back, even just for a trip. Hope your patience doesn’t expire halfway through...
  6. Some people were complaining about my ping and lag, and I thought why not just move to the States to fix it, so here I am! But yeah, I am here for work. I usually just say I work in education since I have a few different roles. I came to the U.S. as a visiting scholar last year, and I’ll be leaving soon. Back in Türkiye, I have two jobs. I work full-time at a university, and tutor K-12 students in reading and literature in the evenings. I’ve had more flexible work hours here, which gave me more time to travel. I’ve been to North Carolina, Chicago, Miami, Washington DC, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, and Las Vegas so far. New York will probably be my next destination. I may visit some other cities as well, and I’m open to any suggestions you might have before I leave.
  7. Warmest wishes for your health and happiness.
  8. Hey Pickle, For your first introduction, I'd shared a video featuring a scene from Rick and Morty. Now I'd like to share another scene, and I hope you enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBJa32lCaaY Watch out for sticky nades!
  9. I used to work with children too, and I understand the healing power of their pure love. I'm sending my heartfelt wishes for your wife's speedy recovery.
  10. "In Connecticut, legend has it that state laws require that a pickle must bounce to legally be called a pickle." I think I've seen a pickle bounce once after being hit by a sticky nade.
  11. Hi Manuel, Good to see you here. I might have been one of those who mispronounced it, but now that I know the correct pronunciation, I'll make sure to say it accurately.
  12. Sorry for your loss. My condolences to you and your family.

    Hello all

Hi Chicon, Good to see you here. And now I know what "chicon" means in French.
