i was getting error #102 bd_exception_in_db then says key already inuse when tried SP mode all is good today just had to reset PB and servers list -
remove cmos BATTERY,cards cpu and fill the sink up with hot soapy water and soak then reinse off then blow dry water off then place in a oven NOTICE: set oven to lowest setting 120f bake for 2 hours then turn off oven and let it cool off 5 hours do same with video card if gotten juiced too (remove fan) then try to starighten out cpu pins by a safety pin and magifing glass

Dean are you using a 64bit OS and its not keeping settings. just set the exe file to XP2 for compatibility mode

are you running fans or a watercooled system ? rad,water block,water pump if water system need to have all the air removed from loop for to work its best also need air movement in case to cool MB

check your drive cables will do the same freezes a failed cable or move the boot drive to another port

Dean its not worth it for the bios chip is soldered to MB would need special tools to remove and place a socket on MB and seems that MB isn't a pure ASUS MB but a OEM MB like HP this why your having problems finding correct bios and support hanging up

first update bios in dos only and MB only supports AM2 socket as per asus site Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (CS),1MBx2,rev.F2,89W,SocketAM2 is round 50-75 bucks

yes when building a sys the RAM has to match the cpu / MB and most MB manufactures has QVL list for it products OS's max ram home 4Gb ultimate 16Gb 64bit

Billyblade what motherboard you have ? other option is RAM, match set, MB MAX alotted size for all ram slots and get the fastest speeds to match MB spec's is the cheapest upgrade if you haven't done already -

i see that only DG834Gv3 and above support adsl2+, note adsl2+ is for supporting video streaming if an ISP router best not to update firmware and have them give a new unit that supports adsl2+ netgear what version of DG834G for are 5 versons , look under unit ti find what version got. then go to link above to check firmware for your unit version .......before any updating copy all info from settings in router then disconnect all other connects and use only one port and no wifi on or connected to router

how about your ISP has thottled back your bandwidth ? can try another PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter to rule out bad NIC in laptop
