Thanks everyone for your thoughts and prayers. He is tired but has had no bad spells since his implant. Other than 1 PEE break he has slept through 2 nights in a row. He had breakfast today and had another sleep for a few hours. Noticeable improvement in his breathing as you can well imagine. My daughter and her family stopped by for a visit yesterday, that brightened his day. Wayne

I just wanted to say thanks to Everyone for all the prayers and well wishes for my dad over these last months. To recap Dad is 88 and has been fighting Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney Failure. This past December he started Dialysis which took quite a toll on him. We had a very hard few months trying to stabilize his condition while moving them to a beautiful apartment and trying to get their house cleaned out and ready for sale. Trying to have the parents transition from total independent living to an apartment was a very hard transition for us all. The house as you can imagine was full of 88 years of STUFF. Adding Covid into the mix has been brutal. In March dad's health really deteriorated. He couldn't breath and almost lost consciousness many times. He could not walk 20 feet and could barely get out of his chair. I had to hold him up most times so he wouldn't fall. On Monday the 19th he was fitted with a wearable heart monitor. Tuesday the 20th I picked him up for Dialysis and returned the monitor. Trying to get him to the car he almost passed out twice. I picked him up from dialysis at 6:00 pm, put him in the car, returned the wheel chair. By the time I got back to the car about 30 feet I thought he was dying in front of me. things settled down, he refused to go back in and I took him home. At 8:00 pm His heart specialist read the monitor and I had to bring hi in to the emergency department. Wednesday the 21st he had a dye test, Thursday he had 2 stents put in his heart. Monday he had a combination Defibrillator/pacemaker implanted in his chest. Today he had dialysis and is home. Sometime we criticize our Canadian health care but in our experience have had nothing but spectacular service. Yes we pay high taxes but my family has reaped the benefits of the great work our health system provides. We are so thankful to our medical professionals. Fearing dad would not be with us much longer 2 of my sisters and my Older brother were able to travel home for passionate grounds. My sisters isolated for 14 days at a private camp and my brother arrived a few days later and isolated in my parents home and started getting things ready for the sale. I am so thankful to have my siblings here to help it's been a rough few years dealing with frail parents. Dad is so happy to see them. He has the biggest heart, he told me all he has to live for is his family. Quote"I love all my children, grandchildren and Great grandchildren." He is the most loving father anyone could ask for! He tells the Dr's every time I don't want to go anywhere yet, I have too many babies to love, more are on the way and I haven't met them yet. this has been quite a journey for all involved. Dad is like a miracle man he just keeps fighting. We are blessed for every minute we have him here. Again thank you all! Thanks for taking the time to read this. Wayne

AstraZenecz/Covidshield What Is Your Expierence?

I actually believe in vaccines! I’ll be 64 in May. Growing up people with withered limbs from polio was a real thing. Measles, mumps, chicken pox, whooping cough and a bunch of other diseases made a lot of people sick, killed some, blinded some and scared some. In my adult life we rarely hear of these diseases anymore I believe vaccines saved so many lives. I sincerely hope no one has to suffer some of the ugly atrocities brought on by disease. Cheers Everyone Wayne -

Hey Smithers, do you feel one of the vaccines would have helped with the Covid? After your experience would take a vaccine for something similar? -

Please keep in mind this post is for those that have had expedience AFTER THEY HAVE HAD THE AstraZenecz/Covidshield VACCINE! Really not looking for conspiracy and melodrama posts. I'd like to know if anyone has had had immune responses or negative results after receiving their first and or second AZ shots. This is my experience so far! April 15/2021 at 11:53 am I received my first AstraZenecz/Covidshield vaccine shot. April 16/2021 about 1:30 pm I started to feel uncomfortable, a bit squeamish with a slight headache. I worsened and by 3:30 I was in bed with a slight fever. for the next 5 hours I was stuffed up sore with a slight fever. I just felt bad, nothing major just not right. At about 10:00pm same day the fever left and my sinuses cleared. I felt feverish a few times through the night and did not sleep well. Other than being tired today I seem OK. Please share your experiences with AstraZenecz/Covidshield. Thanks Wayne

Do I have an unhealthy relationship with coffee?
WeednFeed replied to Tron's topic in General Discussion
@WldPenguinback in 1987 I started working I the Electrical planning department of a ship yard. I decided to try coffee for the first time! I was 30 years old. I hated it and still hate it! You’re not missing anything lol. I do understand most of the world loves coffee I’m just leaving my share for them. -

I heard THEY make penicillin for that! Hope you’re on the mend. Who the hell are THEY? We all refer to THEY! THEY say you can do this and that! Can anyone enlighten me who THEY are? @RobMc you’re a man of research could you help a fellow idiot out?

I have the Arctis 7 they are great for these OLD EARS! I use them wireless or wired I can't tell the difference in quality either way. Some times they're too good, some peeps I don't want to hear! You know the HEAVY BREATHERS! Upon reflection I have no idea if the are working wireless when I have them plugged in. I run them plugged in quite a bit. I also have never tried and figure out how long the batteries last.

That took some effort! Idiot material lol!

Some medical professionals are not as good as others, the same in every profession. Used to go to a Dr who immigrated from China. He practiced acupuncture as well. He was the best at giving shots. It took me a while to figure out why his shots never hurt. While he was disinfecting the the site of the injection with the alcohol swab he would rub his thumb deal into the muscle at the injection site. Worked every time, never felt pain at the inside. Next time you go for an injection have the medical professional try this. It works

Knowing this could be useful for some!

My parents are 85 and 88. Dad 88 goes to dialysis twice a week. They get their shots on the 22nd. As their care giver ie: take them to the hospital bring them groceries and do everything else. I think I'm able to get my shot, I'll be 64 in May. I might call and see if they will give it to me.

@Damit1another quest is where in the heck have you been? Seems like you disappeared after you opened your own business. Makes sense I suppose! We used to hit that BF4 pretty hard a few years back. Weed
