No tests yet . . . . The sheet metal on the outside is 16 gauge The shape of the pieces (triangular) is what gives it its strength On the inside I used 1 1/2" square tubing ( 3/16 wall thickness) The bumper has a piece of 8" channel for a base and I built it up from there finishing it with a 3/16 skin across the front

Is there a medal for being an Iron Idiot? I needed a grill guard for my pickup to keep Deer from trying to be a hood ornament so I picked up some sheet metal and started cutting and welding. Here is the result. I call it "The Buck Buster" lol I made the bumper also but it is separate. The grill guard is hinged at the bottom so it swings down when I open the hood or I can take it off by removing 4 bolts. I added a couple of ANZO Hi output LED off road lights and coated the grill guard and bumper with black Bed Liner (Bed liner is tough as nails and sticks to about anything) Yeah it was a long winter

This post is a walk down memory lane. Blowing up the little green army men with fire crackers. Gumby Monopoly Doing chores for punishment playing outside with the neighborhood kids until the street lights came on. Riding my bike without a helmet to the beach on a Schwinn 5 speed (45 miles one way) Drive in movies putting coins on the railroad tracks making sling shots and shooting out the glass insulators on telephone poles I guess kids during this era did the same types of things just in a different part of the world. Some how you guys feel like "Kin" . . . . ."Brothers from another mother" . . . . . . @@little_old_man you really busted yourself up LOM SIX MILLION DOLLAR little Old MAN "We can rebuild him . . . . . we have the technology"

JohnnyDos & Baldie you guys must be reading my mail. So true we struggled growing up ( I was number 6 of 6 kids growing up) and somewhere along the line we decided that our kids would have it better . . and we did. Its hard to say that what we did was a bad thing because how could making things better be a bad thing? How would we know that giving your kids too much could have a bad effect on them and worse yet how could you convince future parents to not be so generous. Parenting and teaching kids now and in the future will be an extremely complicated ordeal at best and I have a feeling that most parents won't be up to the task and so the cycle continues and perhaps worsens. This was a great topic and has provoked some good discussion Thanks Wildthing

Great example. I can easily see that happening. I'm sure they could manage to honk the horn too and make a few remarks. I would bet that in at least one of those cars full of kids someone took notice of what you did and new it was the right thing to do. We as parents aren't able to change whats going on but we dam sure cant give up,
-
The bottom line is we were raised differently and so many post's here ring true for me and my upbringing. I tried to raise my 2 kids the way I was raised but with so much bad parenting going on its hard to explain to your kids why the neighbor kid gets away with anything. Like LOM I taught my kids respect because I feel that if a person has respect for elders, the law, women, teachers, nature, other kids ect. then that's a good foundation for being successful. How many boys do you see hurry to open the door for a lady or elderly couple . . . . . rarely. There are some things that are better now but there is something special about how we were raised and one day scientists will look back on that period in time and scratch their head trying to figure out what went RIGHT. The hand basket is here the world is lined up to get in . . . .. next stop . . . . .HELL (the world is going to hell in a hand basket)

Now why would I prefer that? Male to male sex is NOT my thing.

I'm a little Pissed! I have over 4600+ ground kills and if you look at my service record of the planes I use most it's Bombers. my titles say I have only bombed 200 or so. Total bullshit. I contacted the Wodka support team and they told me to prove that I bombed over 4000+ ground targets. They know dam well that I cant produce the records but the game is supposed to keep track of bombed targets so I asked them to review my records in game so we will see what sort of smart ass answer they give me now. I don't know why I even try to deal with those assholes anyway!

I have found that when I'm on a long flight the flight attendants look better and better as time goes by . . . . clearly the result of low oxygen because when we land and open the door the flight attendants are hard on the eyes. I'm Ok with the occasional male FA (for the ladies) but not when they want to check to make sure my seat belt is fastened . . with their hand!

Those videos were tight! Almost like being there . . . . . .the feeling in your guts when those cars go down the track . . . .rocks. I missed a run when I sneezed (thank goodness for rewind) Those cars do the 1/4 mile as fast as they did a 1/8 mile 30 years ago I miss going to the Winternationals in Pomona Calif. I grew up in Ontario and went to drag races at Ontario Motor Speedway OMS (before they tore it down) and Pomona. Drag racing is something that you will never forget once you experience it. Thanks for the videos TSW

Cleaning the screen occasionally will help make the images in porn look much more inviting. J/K lmao

Glad everything ended as good as a situation like this could end and you and your kids are safe. I am proud of the fact that you are not afraid to safely keep a gun in your home and possess the will to use it if the situation calls for it. its impressive that the cops arrived quickly but that may not be the "norm" and being prepared is smart.

I love the smell of Nitro-methane in the morning . . . . . it smells like Victory! Top fuel racing is over the top now dayz with motors putting out over 10,000 HP and ET's of . . . .well if you blink you will miss it! If I had a chance to ignite a blown nitro-methane engine and feel the skin on my face get pulled back and my body get pinned to the seat I could check that off my bucket list. (i'm waaay too young for a bucket list but WTF it would be insane . . . a thrill of a lifetime)

Takes A Hell Of A Pilot To Pull This Off!
Leadfinger replied to Coffee4You's topic in General Discussion
I have an enormous amount of respect for Pilots and this landing shows why. TBC are you stationed at Miramar NAS? I used to drive by there pretty often but now that I think of it I only remember seeing jets there. -
Happy Birthday Coffee4you 1 lump or 2 ?
