Cavey hit me up the other day about the website stalling every morning and although it wasn't what he thought it was it put me on the right track to identifying the problem. I have since disabled the problem task and we will see tommorrow if that has fixed it completly. .

By 'script writing program' do you mean a program that will auto write scripts or a program that can be used to write scripts? Also what language?.. Cause i usually use notepad++ for all scripting i do tbh.. .

MARKS ARE IN! Received the marks for the said piece of coursework today, it's worth 20% of the total module marks. I got 75% which tbh I'm pretty happy with, I know what needs to be done for improvements on that though As for the three that I refused to help, two failed with 31% and 36% and one scraped a pass with 42% (40% is a pass). The class average was 42% with 6 people caught plagiarizing and now face the possibility of being removed from the university. Overall pretty happy with my decision not to help/share on their coursework and will not be helping in the future either. .

can't we use both? Get the longest connection time of all the players in the server. Get the highest score of all the players in the server. When checking for a player to redirect - Normalize against the two highest values and add them together giving a players 'score'. Then simply kick the player with the lowest score. What do you say? .

Completely unrelated but thanks all the same The gameservers are separate to the website and to be honest there are many more possible causes for lag/slowness/high latency on them. .

As stated that figure included connection/waiting and receiving which therefore would include any of the requested data being processed by its own server. These are reasons why the website can be slow that are known to me. 1. The forums are very image intensive (10.3MB/10.7MB on the main page). 2. 78.28% of the total load time is spent actually connecting to the server. (either client/server connection issues or the internet is slow). .

When loading our website (front page) the majority of the data you download is from the XI server (10.35MB) which takes 97.9% of the total loading time, so only 2.1% of the loading time is spent loading the external 323.5kB. I will not deny that the website takes time to load sometimes and is not the fastest out there.. but if we are to investigate lets not make wild assumptions. . I don't understand what your saying... . De website haald ook data weg bij andere websites databases. Als deze externe websites overbelast zijn of offline dan krijgt deze website daar ook last van. De XI website laad dan langzamer of blijft dan hangen. Het is beter om alleen maar data te vertonen op de website index van je eigen database Sorry dat je het niet begrijpt maar ik weet waar ik over praat. ---------------------------------------------------------------- The website also collected data away from other websites databases. If these external websites are overloaded or offline then this site there is also a problem. The XI website then load slowly or remains suspended. It is better to only show data on the websit index of your database Sorry you do not understand but I know what I'm talking about. I kinda understand.. maybe. The website does not connect to any external databases and the database it uses is only used for XI purposes. The website does load some external content for example the gametracker server information, the world clock and facebook although these are only on the main page. Our website is a very big website and will not load as fast as one like Google.. our front page for example is a huge 10.7MB and loads in approx 12.26 seconds (NY) (location dependent). We could remove all pulls for external data but what would be the point? To not have gametracker would mean we would need to have our own display.. .

Thanks for the support.. This whole thing has disgusted me tbh.. I have a passion for the work I do and to find that people 'expect' me to help them and supply them with my work is utter bullshit. Last year I helped them allot and still they failed modules.. I came out with an overall distinction. We will see this year without help how they manage.. might even see them in a lecture or two lol .

I don't usually post about my real life in here but I thought that this utter bullshit might interest some of you (well there's a small chance lol). The context of this story is me working on some coursework for my computing course at uni. I have just pissed off a housemate and a couple of 'friends' for.. wait for it.. not supplying them with a copy of my coursework. Yep you read that right.. I decided that for this assignment I would not help them as I usually do and that I would not allow them to see my work in any way. I have since been called a cunt and had shit talked about me behind my back... Can you believe this?... I don't want to live in this planet anymore. .

I am currently using Windows 8 Pro and am loving it! The display takes a bit to get used to but there are some amazing features, the desktop feels weird without the classic start menu but you soon get used to the new one. Overall I find it easy to use and much much quicker. I got it for free however.. .

Yep but this one was claimt :/ Unless rugger 'unclaimed' it.. nothing has changed. GameTracker were performing database maintenance the other day so that could be a cause. I assume you are talking about rugger in your first post?.. .

I like it.. tis a bit weird to start with but once you learn some of the tricks its actually reallu cool. .
