    Gaming PC

$500 won't get you anywhere for a good gaming pc. Plan to save more money. A fairly good custom built gaming pc alone costs about $1K, not including monitor, keyboard, mouse, pad, speaker, etc.
  4. A happy wife is a happy life, lol.

  10. Cheeese Twinkie. I'm still running the amd 960 black at 3.40 Save your green or you could see an essential improvement with the ssd drive.
  11. Thanks for all the inputs guys. I've just found out that there are multiple local distributors who carry interstate battery where I live and they have very good reputation. I will go with the megatron plus battery- one top of the line. I'm not costco member and that is out of the question. costco do have very competitive price/performance for kirkland signature brand. Exide battery is so expensive to me- I need to change the battery one hand with the other hand holding a bottle of heineken (lol). Once a again, thanks all for quick inputs.
  12. I'm about to need a new car battery before this winter begin for my 2008 honda pilot SE. the OEM 100-month honda battery came with the vehicle when I bought it new in late 2007 and I think the battery has served its time and about to run out. the OEM battery specs: cca-550, group 24F. Any brand suggestions will be appreciated.
  13. I found and bought a new testing device for the battery/system/charger test called "Solar BA7" on amazon. it's pretty simple to use and take out all the guess works.
  14. Looked like they four having fun. Very nice pics.
  15. I don't play cod2. But my condelences to his family as well, and wish he rests in peace. It's nice to have someone in the Xi community care enough to find out where and who he actual is.
  16. Go for ssd to run your wind7 and other apps, and you will be please with ssd performance. In addition, the prices of most ssd look very reasonable now. If you're skeptical, don't clone from your existing hdd. Freshly install wind7 and other apps. This way kind of making sure it runs smoothly. I have never had problems with ssd except running out of space. So don't use ssd to store your data.
  17. Are you mechanically sound? better try the vehicle manual to see what you did incorrectly. Brake jobs are not too complicated, especially replacing the shoes, springs, drums, or disk.
  18. Look great with the player name and clan tag! now i know i won't hesitate to order one when the next sales announced.
  19. Hey! tomorrow is another day. cheer up.
  20. image a simple situation in which you cross the border to Canada or Mexico and stay overnite at a local hotel or motel that cost $100, after you come back to the US and find out that the bill charges $1,000. Then, your on your own the fight off the charge by using your time and effort. That is why using credit cards provide your better security protection and the bank issuing the can handle those issues with ease.
  21. If you get a really quality sound card you'll appreciate the difference between great sound and bad noise. Unless you have a high end mobo with on board sound chip, most average mobo sound chip won't give a really great sound. IMO, a seperate sound $50+ will give you better sound.
  22. I'd check the psu to make sure it's stable. when it's unstable all kinds of issues will show up.
  23. the 128-bit is the bottle neck. don't think it's a good choice imo.
  24. Baldi, check to see if your psu is single or multi-rail. If it's a single rail psu, it's undoubtedly your gpu going bad. if your psu is multi-rail, make sure you connect the gpu to other different psu gpu connectors to test it out. I see Crunch had a point in your situation.
  25. Radar, if you have about 2 - 4 hours of reading either one of these magazine, pc format, custom pc, or maximum pc, you are sure ready to build yourself a kickass gaming rig if your budget allows. Four or five years ago, I had no clue about building desktop pc, except using it. One day I was walking around in a book store and happend to pick one of the above magazines and totally thrilled about those information of building your own desktop pc. Try to build yourself one and you will never want to buy a pc from those stores again in your life. it's very rewarding and it's not rocket science.
