  1. Any temporary fix is just putting a bandage over it. hot coolant inside the radiator builds up pressure and will find a weak spot to leak out. that cracked spot is the one sooner or later will leak out coolant. unless you replace it with a new radiator if you want to keep the car for a while. it doesn't need to be Honda radiator because it's expensive and your 93 accord is turning 20 yrs old car.
  2. I'm jealous. It took me weeks to shed two pounds, lol! Actually, wishing you get well soon Hans.
  3. Blackcat in the night, not good if someone was a mouse running by would get a headshot. lol
  4. for better or worse go for the full-tower, heat is the killing source of all hardware inside the case. you will notice the heat build up when you go 2x or 3x sli or xfire setup or over clock your cpus. Full tower case has better ventilation and keeps the inside cool. I have both the cm half x and 922 and they are great quality.
  5. I guess un-compressed videos and photos suck up a lot of storage space?
  6. Since your not one of the "Idiots", your play time is numbered when idiot member(s) joins on the server in the last couple of spot(s). No hard feeling. lol.
  7. I for once, bought a crucial ssd 60 gb and 128 gb over two years ago to install wind7 for my rig. what can I say is I never want to go back to hdd drive, except to use it for storage. Since then, crucial has several firmware updates to make it run faster, and I never bother to do it. because it never gave me any problems in term of performance. One thing if you happen to pick a ssd drive to install os system, make sure you go into the mobo bios and set sata mode configuration from "IDE" to "AHCI" or advance host control interface, if not do this it won't boot up.
  8. Just can't wait to play this on cod5.
  9. Welcome DANGER. I've played on the servers over maybe two yrs and it's a place I really like to play with those guys (Idiots). This is a great community where people consider playing game is fun, fair and enjoyable. Hackers have no place in this community. I've seen they without hesitance kicked those badass who hacked. By the way, my old rig has the same amd cpu as your rig and I paired with 2x ati hd5850. But I'm now an intel guy. Enjoy your stay, and I'd better stay away danger. lol.
  10. Maybe it's time for a new one instead of trying to get it fix. if you'd bought it new I think it serves you well-they don't make Saturn anymore.
  11. I read somewhere on the net saying the Haswell cpu definitely have some improvement over the Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge but not much. The only concern so far is the heat generated by those cpu if you try oc. But hey if you can afford the cpu, I bet you also can afford a decent cpu cooler, right? when trying to build your own gaming rig, don't be cheap to yourself. you get to enjoy your rig that can deal with more games, not just for bf4.
  12. Thank you for all the welcomes, Idiots. I finally made it after all the kills and deaths. And want to say thank you to the following individuals who helped make it possible for me to become a >XI< member: Belted Hunter Dirk Diggler ROCKAPE. See all on the servers.
  13. Newer is not always better especially when it comes os. games developers are usually one step behind when they introduce new games with old os platforms. They usually focus on console first that is where the moniker is, and pc platform is the least profit.

    FNG

I'd used gametracker to launch games installed on my pc before, but it was never my favorite tool to launch cod5 due to drop-connection, freezing, and slowness. launching it directly from cod5 icon (right click ...multiplayers) is faster and no 3rd party software involved. I believe xfire is somehow better than gametracker. But gametracker is very good for searching server names and ip for all games past and present. Sorry for being no help to your questions at all. But I will thaw you if your frozen in the game. By the way, welcome to the forum. this is where 60s is the new 30s-play hard and be nice.
  15. Yeah, msconfig is the best way to get rid all crappy startup.
  16. If you get the sandy bridge or ivy bridge cpu, keep them for a while because imo, they are terrific cpu, especially the sandy bridge k-series. If you are a pc game maniac, I trust that you build your own rig with high-end gpu to handle all games. Who cares about cpu with IG. IG cpu can't match against those high-end discrete gpu. With Intel when you change to new cpu, you usually have to buy a new mobo because of socket design. If you have a fairly good mobo, all you need is an upgrade gpu.
  17. Extrakamikaze, that's a nice way to let a mouse abusing a mouse. Lol!
  18. Nice intro, welcome to the forum "Survivor". I found it to be really fun to play ftag with those guys and gals on the servers after a long work day. Enjoy!
  19. your system is way over due for a new one, not even upgrade. Save $ and get something else new for breakfast, not just pancakes.

    Ram

I'm sure the difference between using 2 sticks and 4 sticks of ram is the heat issue. 4 sticks of ram will generate more heat. Look at the mobo specs to see what ram specs it can take. if you buy powerful sticks that your mobo couldn't handle, it's like bottleneck one way or the other.
  21. So far I have no problem with this driver yet for my gtx570. LOL! I usually wait 4-6 weeks after new driver release from NVidia to dodge the first bullets.
  22. Inglorious Bastard, I had similar issue as you were experiencing with my gtx500 series and Wind7. Here is what I found helpful in correcting the problem I had. I don't remember where exactly I found this maybe at Nvidia website. you need to poke around with lower sreen shot (Device Manager) that ReaPeR attached above. that But here it is: Answer / Solution This issue can be caused by a conflict with the onboard audio controller on your new Nvidia card and your motherboard audio. You can try the following uninstall method which will fully disable the audio and should help eliminate the issues you are experiencing. 1. Go into Device Manager- In the Display adapers area right click on the 400/500 series card, and select "Properties" this will give you a listing such as "PCI Bus 3, device 0, function 0" If using multiple cards please check and note each listing. 2. Go under "System Devices", you will see HD audio devices. Check them to see which one matches your GTX 400 series PCI Bus location. Disable (not uninstall) the one that matches your 400/500 series card. 3. Check under "Sound Devices" and it should no longer be there (this step might or might not require a restart)
  23. Finally you made it. Watch out for my betty. Hehehe! See you in the game
  24. Deerhunter is right, Crazy. you have to download directly from nvidia website and install the drivers manually. Or you can download and install by using nvidia control panel. It is not a good idea to let Wind7 update the gpu drivers.
  25. Now, it makes my rig look very very bad! Wizid. I'm humble to say I want to be on your team whatever games you play.
