Why on earth would anyone go to Canada to holiday !!!! And where is that $2000 per month Canadians get coming from !!!!??? Must be all that money Canada saves by relying on the US to protect it !!! ?

We need a T-shirt available via our online store !!!! All you budding fashion designers need to get on it !!! On a serious note. History, either good or bad, should never be forgotten. And always documented for prosperity. This will ensure we continue grow as a human race. Wipe out history and our asses will be back in the "Stone Age" in a few years. Now back to the T-Shirts, !!!!

CMM !!!! My favorite part of setting up a job for production. Especially getting half way through an inspection and the damn machine errors out. We had two CMM's and one was prone to erroring out. Mostly read errors from the 3 1/2 floppy storing the CMM program. Ages ago !!!.

Thanks for the links. Geetech has a A30T model that will handle 3 colors and blending. Five color would be ideal. That would give you an unlimited color pallet. Will check out Fusion. I graduated about the time CNC equipment was coming into existence. Worked at an aerospace company for 30 years and some of those years were spent programming and running CNC equipment. Im talking dinosaur equipment compared to new stuff. Old Mazak VMC 5, Monarch VMC75 with pallet changer, one of these prehistoric Hurco KMB1. The Hurcos being the first I learned on. The Monarch was a beast !! And yes I crashed my share of cutters. ? Scary shit when cutters fly.

Well a quick search says most 3d printers use machine code (G-Codes). But some utilize specialized codes for certain functions.
-
Been researching them. Have not settled yet one yet. But leaning hard towards the Geeetech A30M. Was recommended by an engineering client of ours. Company he works for, has several plastic and metal printers and he says the Geeetch is the best consumer grade printer he has used. Need to research 3d scanners too. Im familiar with AutoCad and machine code for CNC Milling and Turning Centers. So the learning curve should be easy enough. But as far as CAD software, I not sure if all manufacturers of 3d printers use same code ? Need to research it. Just wish the metal printers were cheap as plastic printers !!! Fun Fun !!!!

The touch screens kind of freak me out. I grew up in the tactile era of switches and buttons. And if a switch or button malfunctions then it could easily be jumped. Damn touch screen goes out your screwed and loose everything !!. But I imagine they have a back up. Maybe thats why there are two touchscreens. Either can control all functions.

You can not compare the two. Space X is a capsule !! Like the Apollo capsule. Limited mobility and does not fly. The shuttle was an extremely complex plane with scientific labs on board(or jet if you like). Like comparing a rock to a remote control airplane. But yet a shuttle with new electronics (touch screen controls) would certainly be a much cleaner cockpit. In the 80's, 90's and early 20's, I worked on some of the shuttle control indicators and cockpit electronics and fuselage components, as well as military and commercial aircraft.

Fleetwood Mac recordings are always so well engineered and recorded. Combo of that Neve console and ugly ass building, they made some great records there. Hell alot of groups did !!

Oh, and if your thinking of getting into vinyl, do not buy a turntable from Walmart or any other department store. Those "all in one" systems or separate TT's are junk !!! You need to go Vintage separate audio gear to get the biggest bang for the buck. Example, you can pick up a descent shaped Pioneer PL-518 for under $250 on ebay. Or check out Craigslist and garage sales and Thrift stores. I picked up one of my Pioneers for $5 !! And it is in fantastic shape. Now the Cartridge (needle) may or may not need changed. A descent Audio Technica AT440mlb or similar cartridge can be around $200 to $300. So for under $500 you can get a killer TT that will outperform new models that cost over a grand. A quality TT (record player) is essential to getting into vinyl. Next would be to get a descent Pre-amp/Amp unit. Or a Receiver which combines both. Thats another long discussion on which is better (Receiver vs Preamp/Amp). Both sides have good and bad models. Same with speakers. And again used vintage will get you a bigger bang for less money than new. But research stuff and always check potential buys with a fine tooth comb. Again PM me if you have any questions.

I have loaded up several 128gig drives and put them in our vehicles. Well the ones that have USB ports. Have a descent system in my Z and in our minivan, but MP3's just dont have the same character as vinyl. Dont get me wrong, all of my MP3's are 320kbp, or 192kbp, which sound good in the car. But play a CD, and a Vinyl copy of a tune on a descent stereo system and IMHO the lp will stand out. I can listen to vinyl all day with zero ear fatigue. But digital after awhile hurts my ears. But thats the nature of the beast. Hey, another great lp !!! April Wine - Nature of the Beast !!

Not sure what you are wanting to spend on speakers. The speakers in my pictures that do not have the lattice grills are Polk Monitor 10's from the 70's. Great all around speakers. I used them for years. Those can be found readily found for around $100 to $300 depending on if the seller knows what they have. ? They will outperform many new speakers that sell at many times that price. Now I mainly use the big set with the lattice grills. Thats the bottom set which are Sansui SP-5000's from the 70's. These are fucking killer speakers. Sound good at low volume and really come to life at higher volume. Im talking extreme volume levels with ZERO distortion. Very efficient speakers. I have an SP Meter and these things will go above 120db with ZERO distortion. Im talking thump your chest levels. You can feel every kick drum hit and bass guitar notes. That level of pressure will make you deaf pretty damn quick. They were a Japan only release and very few made it to the US. Those that did, came via GI's stationed overseas bringing them back. The set on top of those are Sansui SP-3500's. Those are descent but they lack the bass response the Polk 10's and Sansui SP-5000's do. But the Polks would be a great addition if your wanting vintage. Plus Polk still makes replacement speakers for these. So 50 years later Polk still has replacement speakers for these. My receiver is a Sansui 9090DB and I have several Reel to Reel players. Four Akai's and one Sansui. I have three Pioneer PL-518 turntables, several old 8 track players (dont use), several Akai cassette decks and a few EQ's. You cant beat Akai's for tape players. Would love an Akai GX-747, but holy hell, they sell high. But they sure are pretty !!!

I collect vintage audio equipment and vinyl. Hell I collect anything related to music. Just picked up a Kenwood KP-9010 which is a beast of a turntable. If anyone has any questions on gear or interested in getting into vinyl, tape, etc. , PM me. I would be glad to help. Vinyl and Reel to Reel tape is so much more pleasant to listen to. Yes there is some surface noise with vinyl, but it out-ways the Harshness of digital. Yes digital, is great too, but it will never equal analog. Now Reel to Reel tape is fantastic. Yes there is some tape hiss between songs, but wow !! As from the pictures you can see I am running out of storage space for vinyl and tape. I have more vinyl in storage and plan on building another wall unit like in the first picture to house them. Plus I need to build a bigger "entertainment center". Right now I have Joe Walsh in rotation. His music is always well recorded. Great production !!

Prayers coming your way brother !!!
