I am currently a Network Security Engineer. I have worn about every hat in IT and still partially do when needed. Network Engineer, IT Director, etc. For private industry and local government. A majority of my 21 years in the field was for a major ISP. With having kids later in life I may never retire. Unless my brain, eyes and or fingers cease to function. All of which is possible.

Respecting everyone's opinion I will give you facts. The hit box remains the same jumping and running or holding still. Is someone hopping with a good movement rate harder to hit? Slightly. (practice your aim people) Does it make them immune to bullets. NO. Can they catch you by surprise more often. Yes. Try the ESC server sometime. It draws your gun up when you jump which is an option on the server. Its a snooze fest in my opinion. Nice people but not nearly as action packed as our servers. People cry when you hop over a rock there. Some people prefer that. Not I. We are an older crowd mostly but this game still moves slow compared to many others out there. Play our cod2 servers or COD Warzone sometime. It makes our cod4 servers seem in slow motion. It will give you perspective.

He is talking about Quake remastered. Which is Quake 1 remastered for the 25th Anniversary available on Steam. I still have Quake III. My favorite of the series. Probably the only game I have more time in than cod. Quake live was the best thing morphed off of Quake III. Probably the best net code I've ever played on. Anyone who wants to play any of these flavors let me know. @yosh I spent a little time on a competitors server tonight ... the skills were amazing. What server? I have given some beat downs and been called a hack on more than a few lol. The tubes can be annoying but don't really over run the game unless there are many good tubers on one team. Pinglo and Ronnie come to mind for excellent tubers\smaw players. I have seen them hit long ass shots that are anything resembling shooting into a crowd. If you see someone doing prediction tubes at the beginning of a round. Don't take the same path. They are usually going to shoot the same common traffic areas. Its usually pretty predictable. For the players who use them well betties and clays aren't that random. When I used to use clays more often there is a lot more to it. Movement is much different on server 1 vs mw2 for example. Predicting speed around a corner based on the mod. Angles, spacing one correctly behind the 1st if they dodge the 1st etc. Placing a betty on a table so it blows up in your face much quicker for example. Just my 2 cents and something to think about. Try not to turn this into a fluffy soft server. I felt like the last mod attempt gave me that feeling.

There are 500,000 accounts banned. So is that total player count no. They have started some ip banning which has helped some as well. I have seen it waves come and go since I have been playing for about the last year. Usually the cheaters are obvious. Many of these assholes are paying for their hacks. Anyone telling you it was not my fault well is just plain and simply full of it. The game net code is not the greatest either. Warzone is an addictive mess though. The level of competition with these young millions of kids is fantastic.

Name these world class players? There are some very good players on our servers but if your thinking world class you need to get your eyes or sense of reality checked.

COD2 is still there because of the people who still love it. COD5 with its popularity would be a tough argument. There are plenty of us that still play many flavors. I play cod2, cod4, Warzone.

For the people on here with tears in their eyes about people hopping, newsflash the hitbox of the target remains the same. Work on your aim.
