Well, I've spent the past two weeks in the stand. The first week bow hunting in WI, and the last week shotgun hunting in MN. Yesterday I finally got eyes on a buck I had seen before and was able to close the deal:
Every day during the MN gun season I slogged my way through a mile of swamp to get to the little finger of woods where this guy was working. And finally, in a bitter cold morning with a stiff NW wind in my face, he walked by me. I feel very blessed to have shared this with my father and older brother. And super thankful they were there to help me get this beast out of the woods. It will taste ever so sweet after all the hard work we had to do.
