How ?!? he may have been using vulgar language but its completely uncalled for to taze him, or even remove him from the building originally. He did absolutely nothing wrong but asking questions, with an inflamed voice. They could have asked him to quiet down but no they forcevily remove him then make up some random charge saying hes inciting a riot. No way i didnt see a single person in that crowd start to even move out of their seats... and you cant have a one man riot ! This is bullt shit and only proves that Your right to free speech only exists on paper. Not in reality.

You have a constitutional right to free speech - to a point; for instance, provided it does not inpinge on the rights of others, and/or does not endanger the public. This was a Q&A set up by an elected official who have every right to control it, for instance, limiting questions to one per person, limiting the time a questioner took, suggesting a questioner sit down and refrain from further speech if he/she wasn't satisfied with the answer, etc., etc. The individual in the audience very clearly attended the session with the intention of disrupting it. He intended to make a political statement before he asked any questions and he was repeatedly told to limit his disruptive activity. He clearly intended to create a further scene as they were attempting to remove him so that the event could continue, fighting against those trying to restrain him (police officers) and using a loud vice. He could have been charged with assault, resisting arrest, battery and other crimes.

I intensely dislike loudmouth motherfuckers like this who think the world resolves around them, who preach their rights while denying the rights of others. My only problem with this is the offices took FAR too long to remove them. If they would have clubbed the bastard I would have been more satisfied.

It still isnt right, that he wont answer someones question because its a soft spot, or they know their wrong. His vulgarity is some what naive but it also shows the frustration and anger that people have towards this slave and master regime we call our government. I like the facthe made a scene while getting carried out, because in my opinion hes right. He had to reason to be charged and all he was doing was getting loud, thats no right to be removed, because in the heat of the moment all the frustration came to the surface. They work for us, we dont work for them. These spoiled politicians have luxuries to save their own name ie. sick the cops on people and its wrong. We are the ones who vote them in, so they must bend to us. This is just my opinion but i believe this kid was a victim of police brutality and publicly humiliated for no reason. He simply was trying to get answers and make his point across.

The letter would have gone to file 13 and as far as free speech I have this to say "I have the right to say what the fuck i want when I want and if you don't like it or it offends you then get the fuck out I am not here to please everyone else but to live my life as I see fit." Have a nice day!

That guy got exactly what he deservd. He probably had someone waiting to pay his bail before he even went in there. He was just wanting to disrupt the crowd and the police to the point that he would be arrested. He had his two minutes of fame. This was all staged by the guy. I would bet on it.

Freedom of speech isn't mandatory. There is a time and place to act like he did and it certainly wasn't then or there. There are restrictions and he purposely went of his way to draw attention to himself. I don't think the topic even mattered, he got on the news so he was happy. That was his agenda not the actual questions.

That was several years ago, before security got as tight as it is today. Today he would of been treated a little different.

Whatever kind of forum the people were having there or Q&A session or whatever, that kind of gathering is put on by the politicians to make the people think that the politicians actually care. It is like patting us on the head and telling we are doing a good job by participating, so we think we actually have a say about shit. Most politicians are sheep in wolves clothing. Almost as bad as a lawyer. Another necessary evil.

So I agree to some extent with all of you.

One time when I had my business, I was approached by the Republicans to give insight on the mindset of small businesses in my area. I was appointed a chairman of bla bla bla of whatever. They were trying to get me to get donations from other small businesses. I wasn't going to give them a dime and I wanted to see how far it would go. I even got invited to the white house for a special dinner with President Bush, along with other small business leaders. This is no shit, I still have the invitation. You don't get an invitation like that every day.

Needless to say, I was a little intimidated to go to such an affair. I didn't like Bush but it didn't matter who the president was. I took my wife to Yellowstone for our 25th anniversary. The dinner was the same week. I got to see the real animals at work. And nature at it's finest. No politician can top that.

One problem that I saw was that the person speaking even asked the officers to leave him alone and he was trying to answer the guys questions, but he was not able to because of the ruckus caused by the police.  I agree that he was a little out of line, but not so much that he should have been tazed.  He was not threatening anyone with bodily harm or trying to escape from the police.  He was not visibly high on anytyhing and yet it took 5 or 6 cops to subdue him and cuff him - and they had to taze him?  Sorry Harry, that was bullshit and I would hope the officers were reprimanded.

Do you honestly think that kind of approach will ever change, especially after what happened to that congresswoman in Arizona. I know this was well before the Arizona incident, but it will never change

There are two fundamental things wrong here

1. Don't pretend to put yourself in front of the public and care what they have to say if you are not prepared to see them - warts and all

2. don't go to a governmental function like this that is always staged and expect to be able to freely speak your mind

They are both as dumb as one another and both deserved to get tazed for thinking real life is different for them than it is for the rest of us

Its still a freedom of speech, and technically they are our employees so they MUST listen to us, as a whole. Not just what they want to hear.
