It is about 3 1/2 years old, maybe older. I am thinking of replacing it with one that I throw together myself. I remind the price of the WD Black 1TB 64mo to be around $79 a few months back! Some HDD manufacturers will soon start to resume production, and hopefully this will cause the prices to drop back to when they were... As for the WD GREEN....they're not bad drives, but they're mostly storage drives, because they're made to save on electricity, they park the "reading head" really often, it's like they go to sleep a lot more often than regular drives...that's why I'm not too fond on those to be used as Operating System drive...
