I had the same message as Olive, Mazda.I just uninstalled it and re-installed it.Very quick if you have the discs.Or maybe you could try what sun Tzu says here.It's about connecting but you never know. There a few things you can try #1 go innto you steam folder look for a file called clientregistry.blob delete and restart steam let it update if that doesnt work try #2 #2 go to your steam library right click on call of duty modern warefare 3 and click propertes goto files/cache and run verify integrity of game cache one of these should help
