I had issues like that i think.

It was my PSU

http://www.xtremeidiots.com/index.php?/topic/27024-getting-a-new-psu/page__fromsearch__1

Could be a # of things.

Hard to know what it might be unless i know the specs.

Also HD audio drivers if you have ATI could be a issue.

Hard drive yes do a disk chk at boot up.

But Good luck hope ya get a idea what it is.

Im extremely good at troubleshooting issues (its what i do all day).

Is your entire computer freezing or just BF3?

If its your computer, and the HDD light stops, most likely you've got a disk going bad.

I recommend you download one of these tools (or both, I prefer Data Lifeguard):

Data Lifeguard for Windows

SeaTools for Windows

Run the full diagnostics on your HDD's.

Depending on your reply back to my questions, Ill have you try some more things.

If its your computer that is freezing, we might want to change some settings so we can get some dump files and analyze them. Or we might want to run some memory diagnostic tools.

Let me know!

It can be a number of things. How many things to you have starting up when your pc boots. Check you startup tab under your msconfig. Also, the longer bf3 plays, the hotter your gpu can get. On your harddrive, you can do a scandisk and check for errors. This should also check to see if you have any bad cluster on your disk. Also with bf3 running under a ie. Check your your history and disk cleanup. Your cache could be overloading. Do some of the others things mentioned here like memory test and so and then get back to us. Pretty sure with all the pc smarts guys and gals here. We can work it down to the problem.

Yea. My next bet, if the HDD diagnostics dont find anything is to have you run memtest (and for at least 15 hours)
