My oldest Grandson shooting from the porch of my Pocono house. The rifle is a very modifie AR-15. Caliber is .22, equipped with a silencer, MagPul flip up sights,  MagPul butt stock and a red optical sight. It's registered as a SBR ( Saort Barrled Rifle). This is my youngest son's rifle so I may be missing some detail. When it shoots you do not hear any report, just the cycling of the action and the bullet hitting the target if we are using the metal targets.

i am only allowed to have a BB or pellet gun. Mine shots like a .22 though. It is really powerful. Never did I think it would be that powerful. 1200 FPS.

For what it is worth the AR pictured is quieter than most good quality BB or pellet guns, whether pump, spring or CO2 propelled. May be hard to believe but it is true.

Very nice setup, Gatorgirl and I are looking at get something for my son for his birthday. I have looked at Mossberg and Smith, and Colt and And Hk , the Mossberg is the cheapest but not bad for money, Some quality issues thought. As for the other three or four makers out there they are all good guns and break down just like my  Carbon Bushmaster I'm just not sure that Hk and the others are worth the difference of 200 to 300 in price for us just as a weekend shooter??? I like the the size of this one that you show and yes with right silencer setup you cant hear a thing until its to late ;)))

@@ANGU5, You might want to consider Smith & Wesson's MP 15 if you are looking for a nice .22. I have one and am very pleased. Also take note that S&W can keep prices down since they forge and machine their own upper and lower receivers. Most other companies outsource the forging, including Colt. For a .22 it will be quite price competitive. If looking for a .223 I still like Colt.

I believe the silencer / can / suppressor on the gun pictured is a Liberty Essence.

My most recent purchse is a Colt 9mm AR 6951, I was sorely disappointed in that the can did not work as well as I had expected even shooting a 9mm 147 grain bullet, it still broke speed of sound. I always thought 147 grain 9mm's would work. Need to do my homework.
