You might get better performance out of your ram if you match the 8 gig stick and run dual channel mode on it.  Ram is pretty cheap these days even if you buy 4 4 gig sticks and populate all 4 slots.

take a look at this one

yea ty for pointing that out cuz the 4x4 GB RAM is about the same price as the 1x8 and 1x4 i was getting. I would have to check if my motherboard can fit them. Most likely it can though.

If you can stretch it another $50 I HIGHLY reccomened the AMD FX-8320 Vishera 3.5ghz 8 core cpu.

4 more cores and 8mb L3 cache is a very very noticable vs a 4 core with no L3 cache.I was running a AMD Phenom II X4 980 stock clock 3.7ghz and upgraded when the 8 core 8320 went on sale.

Performance increase was night and day.

I currently have my 8320 OCed to 4.7ghz and a 1st gen Corsiar H50 closed loop liquid cooler, temps are 29c idle 43c at full load running 10 instances of prime 95+.I've had it OCed up to 5.24ghz but it would randomly crash so I backed it down a bit just to be on the safe side.

I also have a PC with the FX-8350 in it but it will not overclock as good as the 8320.But it is a bit faster at stock clock speed.
