This one I am using now is the old one! My mb is one I got a few months ago and I don't think I need to install all the mb drivers again do I? I guess I may if the drivers are stored in the hd! My network adapter driver apparently not installed either! I went to the ASUS website and got the drivers for the motherboard but am not sure if I needed to do that yet! Please someone that has a little time to just aide me through this agonizing process! I would be much appreciative for any and all help! Awards

In my experience, yes, you need to install all of the motherboard drivers - network, BIOS, bluetooth etc etc.., whatever is listed for your board. All my gear is ASUS and I've had to do this for Win7. Oddly, I didn't have to with the bump to Win 8.1 Edited December 25, 2013 by Astronomer Awards

With a new install, you will need to install the drivers again for your mobo, video card, etc and then your network adapter will be good to go. With a new install of Windows, all drivers and software including all the Windows updates will need to be re-installed. Is a long process so just take one step at a time. - mobo drivers - video drivers - windows updates - rest of software (ie. games, office, anti virus, etc. Good luck. Awards

Just carefully follow any prompts but should be straight forward. For now, I wouldn't worry about any Bios updates as these need to be done very carefully. Just work on getting your drivers installed, windows updates, and software. If you have been experiencing mouse issues, see if there is any updated drivers for your mouse from the manufactures website. If you continue to have mouse issues after all your system updates are done, then look at the bios. And lastly, don't forget to boot up off of your new drive that has the fresh Windows install BEFORE running all these updates. Again, good luck. Edited December 25, 2013 by Merlin007 Awards

Oh and yeah I have had my video driver stop working the last couple days too! This all confuses me to the max! My question is is the ethernet driver suppse to be in that all-in-one driver package or do I need to find the driver for it and install it from a flash drive? Awards

Try this. From the same site, this is the Lan driver (network). http://66.226.78.21/downloadsite/drivers/All/LAN/Realtek_Win7-64_Win7(7044).zip Correction to link here Dean. The previous one posted went to version for Win8. Remember to run this while boot up on your new Windows install. I'd help via Teamviewer but you need an internet connection of course so stay patient through this, I or someone here will help you through this. This can be at times, very frustrating when it does not go the way it should. Computers are great... when they are running good. Edited December 25, 2013 by Merlin007 Awards
