So many of us have already felt the terrible lag caused by world generation on the FTB Server. Since this is a known issue with Minecraft 1.6.x our best solution has been to generate a completely new world and then use worldborder and "fill" the entire world. I have been doing this on my local PC on an SSD in an effort to complete the task as quickly as possible. I have been working on this project for a full week now and it is just over half way done. 

 

I am using Biomes O Plenty to generate the world with chocolate dungeons and all the mods we care about so I hope it will bring some interesting variety to exploring. 

 

If you still have items in the "original" world please let us know and we will help you move your stuff over. We will be deleting that world. The newer world we are all living in now with the missing sky can be kept or not, I will leave that up to the users.

 

Until the Biomes O Plenty world is done generating and fully tested no one needs to think about major changes yet, just know that in another month we may want to just have the one main new world and from there we will add more worlds to adventure in. I am also looking into some new modes of play, I have seen talk of a skyblock type world but uses FTB mods with it. That could be really cool.

Yeah I have talked to Dukoo a few months back. Our old >XI< Minecraft server worlds can be downloaded from our redirect.

I can tell you that the skyblock ftb is pure bull xD thats why i flipt the bird to my friends on the LAN server and moved to this one haha

There is a skyblock mode called agrarian skys... pretty fun and the hardmode questboook si already in the game

It is a whole new world. I am pleased to announce we have a new home, a world with a sky and normal weather! A world with lots and lots of biomes, Biomes O Plenty to be exact ;)

 

We have force wreches and liquefied ender at spawn. Please take one of each. The force wrenches allow you to move a whole chest at once and the liquefied ender teleports you to a random location. Be sure to use the liquefied ender at the new /spawn!

 

The new world is called bop the old world is called newworld so if you want to teleport back and forth use a home point, outpost spawn or use the multiverse commands:

 

/mvtp username bop

/mvtp username newworld

 

Let an admin know if you have any questions or need any help. If you see players in chat with [newworld] next to their name offer to help them move if you can. Lets get off that old world as fast as we can so we can enjoy the new pre-generated world. :D

I have created and generated more worlds for us to enjoy!

 

Currently at spawn we have portals for the Twilight Forest, the Nether, an new mining world and the End (coming soon)

 

These worlds are already filled so we should not see world generation lag. They will also be reset at least monthly in an effort to make them available to everyone. I will plan to reset them on a regular schedule to minimize the loss of people's things, like quarries.

 

If you have a portal to the Nether already, please destroy it so we only have one Nether!

I and Dead get back on sunday/monday, is it possible to just pick up the chests and export our whole Town into the newworld. The base of the Town is mostly all flat and very Square'isch.
