I am using a suddenlink cable modem/ wifi router Arris DG950 supplied by suddenlink and settings locked I am looking at getting a Surf Board cable moden and a Netgear wifi router. I was reading that the independent setup was easy to do and would be a lot better than my current modem plus I will no longer have to pay the rent fee as the equipment is all mine. Does anyone have suddenlink and have they done oe heard of this.

The Cisco router is limited to 100mps in wired mode, but I get over 120mbps wireless using the TP-Link. I've heard great things about the Arris SBG6580. Will call my ISP to exchange it for the Cisco, hopefully that will lower my ping enough to beat the XI master hacker, and former two-month member of the month, Budman. Rule of thumb if you are modem shopping: Ask if its fast enough to beat Budmad lol. Edited December 22, 2014 by Joe Canadian Awards
