Just get the 1.7 version. Drag and drop it in your cod folder. And over write the 1.8 file. You may need to up date your server log file as well. Is he on pc or mac? Also.. do not connect to the game through steam afterwards. Copy the exe to your desktop and connect that way. If you go through steam it will auto update back to 1.8. They only go up to 1.7 for the Mac, if he was on a Mac there would be no issue. That's why I was asking. The last mac i used was in elementary school, playing Oregon trail! Lmao But, some people in the clan I was in complained about some issues with the 1.8 patch and mac.
