so i got crysis and whenever i try to start it up i get the problem where my monitor goes black and then gives me the msg out of range. how can i fix this so i can play crysis in dx10

how much memory do you have.. you may need to bump that up..

Crysis is the ultimmate test for any graphics card.  It could also be the resolution you are running at.  Go into the graphics section of the game, and try all the settings at the lowest, then work your way up, until you almost reach overload.

well i kno that pro happened to me with codmw2. i got a black screen evey time i tried to play so i went and upgraded my memory now i can play just fine.

I always run the native resolution of the monitor in game. If your not even getting to a menu screen try setting up windows res first then in crysis. It may also be set too low in crysis. Need more help hit me up on xfire.

i figured out was it is.... my vid card doesnt have hdmi slot so when i hooked it into my hdmi on my pc i did a dvi to hdmi converter. apparently dvi doesnt like dx10 and caps the screen refresh rate giving me the out of range error.

well good. atleast you dont have to go buy a new vid card or memory. saves you money.

ya but it means i cant play any dx10 game cept for bfbc2 in full screen
