I bought a sleeve of Maples & Jack Pines from the Arbor society, planted them all over the property, and the deer promptly chomped them off. This sweetie was bitten too, but I caged it, and can't believe it manged to grow straight afterwards. WeednFeed, major-mark63, TBB and 1 other 4 Awards

Too bad I don't like them that much, but they make nice borders. Beavers are down the hill on Spring Creek, they don't make their way up....thank goodness. Awards

On the right is the only Shag Bark Hickory on the place. Caught it out of the corner of my eye while bulldozing, and left it, and its' playmate Oak. Never thought I'd live to see them mature, but the Hickory put out fruit last year. Sorry about the pix, it's raining this morning. All the trees have turned overnight. Awards
