ouch, what are you using dsl?  Have you tried an unlimited hotspot or starlink?

I live in the middle of a cornfield.. very small town

I live in the middle of the mountains close to Canada and the U.S. state of Idaho. Starlink is def the best option but it has a LOT of latency compared to most other people, especially those with fiber.
