How do i access our clan servers? No way to enter ip? Hellllllp!

I see what your saying and i had to laugh, not at you but at the irony that it's usually the low ping players moaning about us higher pingers But even with your ping at 200 that is only a 5th of a second, most people can't even see/react that quick, studies have been done and unless your a fighter pilot with extensive training you will not see and react in 200ms. My long winded point being that i don't think your ping is killing you. Noise, being previously seen running in that direction or enemy players forwarding good intel would in my opinion be the cause. I have some experience in this sector being a high pinger myself, with no complaints (of my own) people bitch sometimes when i kill them, but if you let me get close enough to use my shotty then you deserve to get frozen, shit it's only got 15ft of range P.S You will find a way to play around it, try shultz settings he posted, the maxpackets command has worked for alot of peeps

I have had this game for ages and never played till recently such is my lust for COD4 freezetag. Some BASTARD according to origin has the player name NITRO_XI so i have had to use NITROXI_01 nothing else is availiable. Also how the hell do i join out clan servers? Theres no provision to enter an ip? FECK!

There has been known CI/lag issues with some servers latetly, alot of people feel your pain. Some things you can do that might help if it's on your end: - Turn off modem wait ten secs then repower, sometimes the modems get currupt data in them and can cause connection issues. Also you can unplug modem and hold power or reset to drain any residual power that is hiding in there prior to plugging back in. - check drivers are up to date ( this week alone ive had new drivers for my cpu, gpu, and HD audio ) so chances are you might have the same updates. - If you have installed new drivers recently then roll them back one at a time and test the connection between each driver roll back. If none are the culprit then re update the drivers again. - make sure any uneeded programs or processes are turned of like uTorrent or steaming to name a couple. Also some media server software can lag you out or CI you during game play, I had CI's for two weeks and couldn't play, then me and my flatmate did some trouble shooting and testing and it turned out to be some media server software that he had installed. As soon as we disabled it my connection was normal again. - Have you changed any hardware? Alot of parts go together, but that doesn't mean they will run to thier best if paired with something that may be lacking grunt and ends up hindering pc performance. - Run a system scan with anti virus, also you can run software to check your registry and remove any entries that relate to deleted software etc. CC cleaner is good and free and easy to use. There are other freeware as well. - Update PB with PBsetup. - Uninstall COD4, reinstall, repatch, update PB. Don't forget to save a copy of your profile, maps and mods folders located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare, then after installation delete the folders of the same name and replace with the saved ones from the previous install and bobs your uncle. ( do them one at a time so you don't forget where it's supposed to go) I hope one of those sorts you out, or you find another solution soon, it sucks having continuous ci's. Good luck!

There is 7 patches in total: 1.1 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.4-1.5 1.6 1.6-1.7 I reinstalled last night with those patches start to finish, and no probs on multiplayer. Try that and see if it helps. Also get pbsetup to update your punkbuster. Let us know how you go.

Reinstalling will create default save location at the expense of loosing some data. Save a copy of your profile, map folder and mod folder. This will save you loosing your rank and save you from having to download all the maps and mods again. When the game reinstalls, go back to those folder locations and replace the newly created folders of the same name with the folders you made a copy of. Then game on like it never happened.

If you have the default save location then the path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\main , or you could right click your game shortcut, open file location, main, demo's. I don't think you can have any other auto save location for demo's other than default location, unless you copy the demo file and paste into a custom folder.

so what u tryin to say bout my 1st set of maps fuker...lol....i workd hard to find out what maps work with this incompatible map mod ...to put together a regular rotation so we didnt have to play the same maps for months down the road...lol.... Haha no, you did a great job just some maps i dont like, everyone has a few of those lol.
