Hey team! I didnt know this thread was going i feel so loved! Everything ok here, we have our power and water back on in our neibourhood now although others are still without. We also had something in our water making people sick but they got that sorted too. I think we are on our 7th day and still getting good after shocks in the 5's, i think we are up to about 140+ aftershocks since the main event, experts are saying we are halfway through our expected aftershock time frame however just the other day they realised most of the new aftershocks are from an unrelated fault line from the main one so thats kinda interesting. The city is a mess and alot of people loosing their homes and busineses which is sad but no fatalities which is amazing. They say from past data that in most cases there will be an aftershock one magnitude less than the main earthquake so we still waiting for that one. It will be a while till our city is back to normal but we will get there. Thanks to all for your concern mother nature will have to try harder than that to take me out! Im >XI< tough baby! LOL. See u in the servers!

Ok my 2 cents. I am currently undertaking a build and after much research on gpu's i decided on a Gigabyte HD5850 OC. I got this card for $415 NZD which is just shy of your 200 GPB upper budget. I also had the same budget, i looked at the Vapor-x which as everyone is saying is a good card but i wanted a bit more i mean if you can get a better card and still not blow your budget then surely thats the thing to do right? The 5850 will run at 5870 core and mem speeds with a gentle tweak which is part of the reason i choose it as i want a 5870 but couldnt fit it into the budget. PLEASE DO NOT GET A 5830!!! That was another card i looked at i read alot of reviews on this card and the general concensus was that a 5830 is not well suited for gaming, in benchmark testing it fell behind alot of lesser cards including the 5770. For those that dont know the 5830 is a 5870 with its balls cut off and clothed in a pink dress, in short its a gpu that was built to be a 5870 but didnt make the quality binning requirements so they looked to bridge the gap between the 5770 and 5850 and thus the 5830 was born. Also look for one with a decent cooler the benifits out weigh the small increase in price. Last but not least get a card that is 256bit, you can get them in your price range and is a little more future proof. Sorry this went on for a bit LOL hope it helps you God knows i spent many hours researching before i came to a decision. Research is the key then you know what you are getting. Cheers!
