  1. He's probably just trying to get 20 posts in LOM Yeah I get that, but spamming the boards won't win him any friends when his application comes up for a vote. We want members who regularly post on the boards, not just people who spam it when they want to become a member. That's kind of like cheating.
  2. How about asking all of your questions in a single post rather than starting a new subject a dozen times and spamming our message board?
  3. Congrats to you both! The pictures are great BB, although thank God mullet's have gone out of style.
  4. I'm not sure what she's so upset about. I think it's an improvement.
  5. Somebody emailed these to me. Many I've never seen before. At the bottom of the page are links for additional pictures from various theaters of battle. http://blogs.denverpost.com/captured/2010/03/18/captured-blog-the-pacific-and-adjacent-theaters/#more-1547
  6. It's because you're always on vacation Ter.
  7. See now Joe, if you're going to brag about winning a round, THIS is what it should look like.
  8. From what your bro tells me, you have a lot of ass to bust.
  9. You would be surprised how often it works.
  10. Oh Matt, Please don't be jealous.. You can spoon with Steve as well. Lol What....wait? Joe's name is Matt? You guys are confusing the shit out of this old man.
  11. Happy birthday Ciiinndy.
  12. Loader was the only taker. He promised to pull out his dentures.
  13. I often wonder about that too. He's on vacation like 6 months a year, and when he's supposed to be working he is always posting here or playing COD. Hmmmmm.......
  14. That's just a wee bit beyond acrid Joe.
  15. Be careful http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/09/05/20346317-teen-slices-off-own-head-with-toy-helicopter?lite=
  16. Hang tough Dean. Prayers are coming your way.
  17. That's fucked up Terry. I didn't know anybody was recording it. I wasn't aware I had a Russian accent when I'm drunk.
  18. I've only been drunk once in my life, but it lasted 30 years. Joe Walsh
  19. That's actually a pretty good deal. My daughter got kicked in the leg by a horse three weeks ago and needed 10 stitches. We don't have a deductible for emergency room visits, but the hospital billed our insurance company $4,500 for a job that took 90 minutes. If we had no insurance that's how much we would owe the hospital. Of course people rarely bother to look at how much their insurance company has to pay for services, they only care that the insurance company pays all of their bills regardless of the cost. And people wonder why medical insurance costs so much in the states? We don't have a health insurance crisis in the US. It's simple cause and effect. If the cost of medical care remains unregulated and the government forces insurance carriers to cover everything regardless of the cost, it's only natural that they have to charge all of us more for the insurance. Regulate the amount medical providers and pharmaceutical companies can charge and you'll see the cost of insurance drop accordingly. Make it illegal for politicians to invest in industries (like health care and pharmaceutical) where they can become millionaires overnight, and you'll see our economy flourish.
  20. The fact that it put a decent dent into a classic Mustang means it must have been one heavy branch since the steel on cars of that era was quite a bit thicker than in cars today. Depending on what the rest of the body looks like, when you have to repair a roof, it means replacing the headliner and probably painting the entire car since matching the paint will be nearly impossible between the roof and the body with no seams to separate them. If your son or any of his friends have any auto-body experience this might be a great opportunity to get the car back in running condition and painted since the repair bill will be based on shop prices. Get quotes for having the work done "right" which hopefully means a full paint job, get paid by the insurance company then use the money to get the car in good shape. If it's a desirable year and doesn't have any or many modifications from the original equipment, he could just keep the money and sell the car as is. Nothing unethical about it at all and perfectly legal. If he happens to have a 65 to 69 fastback, it's worth a small fortune even in not-so-perfect condition. Restored ones go for upwards of $70,000 here in California. Glad the neighbor owned up to what happened and hopefully he'll do the right thing. Since his tree trimmer wasn't licensed and the job not permitted, he's on the hook for the damage personally, and his home owners insurance may not conver it because of that.
  21. That's an easy fix, buy a new Chevy.
  22. It's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
  23. Lighten up Old Man, this post was intended to be a joke. I have a good sense of humour and take sarcasm very well. Well I hoped that was the case Joe, but your "acrid" comment gave me the impression you weren't taking my sarcasm too well and were offended by it. For future reference, 99.99% of what I post here is sarcasm. When it's not sarcasm, it isn't difficult to tell the difference.
  24. Congrats Snow. Coming up on 24 for me and couldn't be happier.
