The town I live in (Petaluma California) is 40 minutes north of San Francisco, and is mostly known for being the (former) egg capital of the world and being in the heart of the California wine country. Something else we're known for is the World's Ugliest Dog contest. Over the next few days during the county fair, ugly dog owners from around the world will flood the town to compete for only a $1,500 prize, but they get bragging rights for having the ugliest dog in the world.
