  1. What do I need to purchase/download to get in on this action?! Arma 2? I love a good zombie mod!
  2. Anyone notice that nearly all of these incidents are happening east of the Mississippi? What conclusion to you think us westerners should draw?!
  3. Do I see a suppressor on an LMG?!
  4. I always poked fun at my Dad for pronouncing dishwasher as "deeshworsher." Not sure if he picked that up in Tennessee at college or in Arkansas.
  5. This is the new norm. Welcome to the pussification of America!
  6. Four seasons?! I've only watched seasons 1 & 2. Looks like I need to check Netflix again...
  7. You actually have to read the story to get to this paragraph: Investigators have not accused Apple of breaking any laws, and the company is hardly the only American multinational to face scrutiny for using complex corporate structures and tax havens to sidestep taxes. In recent months, revelations from European authorities about the tax avoidance strategies used by Google, Starbucks and Amazon have all stirred public anger and spurred several European governments, as well as the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, a Paris-based research organization for the world’s richest countries, to discuss measures to close the loopholes. I think this news story should have read: The U.S. Government has grown SO BIG it is using guilt and social pressure in an attempt to collect money from companies that are using legitimate tax loopholes.
  8. The other side of the story is that the daughter and son-in-law are upset over visitation rights for their severely autistic brother. I can't for the life of me understand how a 91 year old man can keep a woman from visiting her brother, but that's what the family feud is about. As payback the daughter signed the house into her name (which was illegal) but it wasn't noticed until after the statute of limitations had expired, and now she's evicting her father out of his own home. The grand daughter did some on-line fund raising and managed to get enough to buy the house, but out of spite the daughter may refuse to sell it to him. Either way, it sounds like a cluster-fuck and I'm glad I don't have family members willing to pull shit like this. http://www.nbc4i.com/story/22027812/wwii-veteran-about-to-be-evicted-by-daughter-son-in-law LOM, I'm not quick to jump on the internet bandwagon of injustice just to have other details trickle in that muddy the waters on a seemingly clear cut case. I don't know that the story is true. I don't know why the daughter doesn't want her father visiting an autistic son. I don't know why she evicted him and won't let the granddaughter buy the house back. It would be prudent to hear her side of the story. She very well may be a douchebag; I just want more information before I tar and feather.
  9. I'll reserve judgement until there are more details, like, you know, the other side of the story...
  10. My favorite segment from the whole article: On top of his arrest and trip to the police station, Marcum was suspended from school for one day. This morning, he returned to school wearing the same t-shirt, White said. I've told my kids that if they get in trouble for doing what is right I will support them 100%. If I was his parent that day of suspension would be a day of celebration and spent at an amusement park.
  11. If only they'd end that last one by giving each participant a Field Sobriety Test....
  12. My gut feeling, since we don't have video of the whole incident, is that the officer's initial contact was not one of respect and thus set the tone for the whole situation. Some people are naturally confrontational and don't have much tact (much like myself) and the result is much like we witnessed in this video. Most officers must be trained to de-escalate, although some people come by it naturally. I'm surprised this took place in Texas. I thought they had two guns behind every blade of grass there and seeing someone openly carrying would be no big deal. I was recently pulled over and the first thing out of my mouth when the officer approached was "I have a loaded pistol laying next to me on my right side." He simply told me to keep my hands on the wheel and not to make any sudden movements. He ran me through and let me go. He should have secured my pistol and ran it through NCIC (he was rookie still on FTO). Most cops prefer to check that the weapon hasn't been reported stolen and to return the weapon unloaded. Bottom line: Openly carrying a firearm is not a crime (in most states), but at least be polite and respectful if you choose to carry.
  13. Let me get this right. You're tired of watching naked boobies bounce? What kind of man are you?!!!

  18. These are the times you lean on those that DO have strength: Vic, family, friends, etc. These kind of burdens are meant to be shared by those that love you. We idiots are here for you. I'm praying for peace in times of trouble, rest when you're weary, and God's presence when you feel alone.
  19. The guy laughing in the background makes this video hilarious!
