I am outta this shell of a house today.
 
I've got to pack the rest of the residuals my ex-wife left me to ship to my hometown.  After trying to "negotiate" with the ex-wife yesterday about her trying to chip in to pay a bit--just a bit--of the $40k I spent to fix this house (so it would even be for sale), I threw my hands up.  The tens of thousands of dollars I spent on the driveway, new roof, new furnace, new paint, new cedar fence--with 10-foot treated posts, mind you--etc., etc., seem to have elapsed from her memory.
 
In Alaska, which is a "no-fault" state, what's yours is "ours," and what's hers is "hers."
 
Hell hath no fury like a scorned (ex-wife) woman.
 
I am not "gone," per se, just relocating.  However, I will be relocating, temporarily, I believe, to a place that doesn't have as good (good?  My frickin' ping is 150 on the current servers!!) a connection as I do here in Anchorage, Alaska.
 
Lol.  Just kidding, you Admins. and others behind the scenes that make things "go."  I've appreciated all the work you've done.  Once the house closed, I was going to make a generous contribution to the family; i.e., the clan, but my illustrious and compelling reasons to "share the house-hold burden" fell to the wayside.
 
I'm going back to my loving "original" family, which includes my loving father and older sister that spent $3k to fly me back to my hometown so I could de-tox from extreme, and I'm talking 3, 750mL-bottles-of-rum-extreme, daily consumption after the divorce and resultant loss of the job.  I don't give a frick about the 6-figure job I lost--I can always make more money.  It was the loss of having my son's and daughter's presence under the same roof that I was under that cut to the quick.
 
No, T-Rat, I'm not gonna steal your corner, like Major Yahoo thinks I will, 'cause I can't walk those cobble-stone streets in Boston like you do.
 
Lol.  I believe my relocation is only temporary:  I just need to re-ground myself, and find new spark.  My kids were my spark, so now I've got to invent a new reason to rekindle that spark.
 
I'll log in, from time-to-time, to maintain my standing with >XI<.  However, I will surely miss all the action and lovingly-hurled insults that we've all shared in FT1.
 
Like the esteemed General said of the Philippines in WWII, and like Arnold Schwarzenegger (however you spell his frickin' name), "I shall return," and "i'll be baak," respectively.
 
I'm gonna miss you guys.  Will be playing soon, and getting my ass kicked even more with my as-yet-to-be-determined-ping.

XTREME FUCKING IDIOTS !!!!! WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK !!!! where have you all been all my life ?!?!?!? haha how the hell is everyone now a days ? jesus its been some years and i kinda missed all you skanks.... kind of ! haha just checking in guys to see how everyones doing, just a bit of an update, i left shortly before i married, so Im married almost 3 years now and i have a son (4 months old) and ill have to post some pics soon to get the baby fever going. trust me my baby is faaaackin cute ! man its been so long since ive seen/heard many of you guys and i greatly miss it. Im currently in the process of building a rig and so hell is coming  to a freetag server near youuuu!

It doesn't matter if you take tubes away, c4, nades, jumping. Someone will always complain about something. It is inevitable and probably rather tiresome to the admins.

Of course then you run into the problems of who gets tubes and who doesnt. First come first served? Which benefits those that can choose their classes quicker for whatever reason? Should frozen players be allowed to have them in their loadouts? Meaning forced class changes? A host of other problems to deal with? As always one minor change can cascade into more changes in other areas and must be watched.

Tubes annoy you? Get a flak jacket. It will reduce all explosive damage... after obstructions and the like are factored in (and extra explosive damage)... down to %25 of whatever is left. But dont expect anything for free or to take away from others.

Gotta add this guy to my "favorite players to tube" list. He ranks right up there with Stang and Chile.

like cod ft1 or ace mod?  seems like it would be better recieved if when you were redirected there was other players there to play with.  coming to an empty server is just heartbreaking....  lol

The other Admins don't care at all? hmm really?, you probably just made yourself as popular as a fart in a lift, this post is not about anyone cheating, it is about the use of legal weapons, why would you need to spec and record people playing within the rules.

did not know you were a clan member.   I must have missed the bulletin   

The hard drive went out on our dedicated server that hosts our COD servers, I know why this happened and will be taking measures to make sure this doesn't happen again. The host is in the process of transferring files over to a new more powerful dedicated machine for us. This will take many hours and hope to have it back up and running by the end of the day today.

If anyone has ideas for other servers then please let me know. I have made a Search and Destroy server people wanted and no one plays on it. I made an Ace Mod TDM server that people wanted and no one plays on. I will make any server you want and give it a try. You just tell me what you want on it and I will do my best to make it happen. 
 
But we're not gonna change the gameplay with dramatic things like no jumping or taking away a huge part of the game like explosives on the most popular server we have for COD4. But I will make any other server you guys wish.

The bottom line here is that this has been discussed too many times to count.  The MW2 Server will remain as is.  Other servers have been created to help cater to your requests.  Please try them out.  Freezetag 1  and Ace Mod do not have cars or tubes...neither does capture the flag.  If you have suggestions for any of the new servers such as CTF, Kill the King or Search and Destroy/Domination please let us know.  Thanks and have fun gaming!!!

Of course one of the major problems is that the maps are too small when the server is full. Making explosives have that much more influence. People want faster paced with increased speed and constant action. And on this server not very open. That means the maps also have to be small to lessen travel time. So any discussion about nades being over powered... even tho they are the original strength... must include the environment in which they are used. Same argument about 'sniper maps'. Many of which can hardly be called sniper maps in the traditional sense. Just bigger and relatively open.
 
Occasional threads about the same topic are fine. They reinforce the discussions on why things are the way they are. Good or bad. So long as people keep from turning personal about it.

It's amazing how many people bitch about something in game and then when a topic is started for discussion no body seems to voice an opinion.
I hear many people complain about tubes being a massive problem, yet they don't speak up on here.
Some people don't even try and use a gun, they just tube and kill 3 people then die........then repeat for the whole game.
And it's nice to see the admins are so open to discussion and suggestions

Lets ban reaper for One week and call it ReaperFree week. @@ReaPeR.

@@jumper isn't jumping@!  It is tactical vertical direction re-positioning.  Some shorten it to the acronym TVDR or just VD.  As in, "Jumper sure is moving a lot of VD today."

Everyone has something to complain about. Camping, tubing,hopping, sniping,dolphin diving, nades, and so forth. Just play or dont. It's kinda hard to please everyone
