Well if he bit your dipshit co-worker, then lets call it an act of international community service... You are welcome.

In trueCanadian fashion all I have to say is.... sorry
-
Good luck with your recovery. ?

Seems very extreme and maybe a true knee jerk reaction. I believe in precautions that are reasonable, but there is always at time when some some stupid ass thinks I’m fine to drive and plows into some innocent family.

Even the swan agrees.. Put your dam Mask on if your not going to social distance.

Great post everyone. My wife and myself went hiking several hours north near Jasper National Park. The trail was Maligne Canyon which took a few hours.

Mike, sounds like you are very familiar with Your panties in a wad. speaking from experience my friend.

Wow, what is next. A dust up at the bike rack during recess?

I wouldn’t take medical advice from Hannity, let me rephrase that... Please don’t take medical advice from Hannity. ?

Can this be moved to the political forum please. Thank you. -
I agree Mike but sadly there are families caught in the middle of this insanity one of them being mine.. I only wish that both countries had the same restrictions, they dont.

The new sensation hitting all the stores!

That sounds like an awfully difficult situation. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family my friend.

I just don't get it. The overwelming data and studies show how effective masks are. If that wasnt the case (like Phuckitman said) why would surgeons, nurses and other hospital staff wear them or wear any PPE. The reason the CDC changed course (which of course the video conveniently doesnt show) is that the original CDC guidance partly was based on what was thought to be low disease prevalence earlier in the pandemic. We all thought it couldnt spread to the EU and North America but that was not the case. What is worse and so concerning is both pre-symptomatic and asymptomatic transmission are possible – even common. Studies have found that viral load peaks in the days before symptoms begin and that speaking is enough to expel virus-carrying droplets. Also remember, this video article is from a news pundit and is there to editorialize the news to push a narrative. That is very important for this typically is not found on your nightly 6pm news, they stick to facts.

I will see you guys in the ER soon. Hey say hello, I will be the one in the MASK!

Great pics Icequeen. We use the exact same PPE but we have to use a full face shield and a mask. We have different level masks depending on if the patient is covid positive, or has symptoms or symptom free. We have been lucky, we have had no shortages of PPE. Note: I love the name on the eyewear, we do the same lol ?

Ok, the video shows them using an aerosol can to prove there point. Its false in respect to Covid-19. Covid-19 or diseases similar are spread by droplet form or better yet large droplet form. I say large but its still very small in size but they call it large. Aerosols are typically much smaller but do have liquid in the air, hence as the video shows. The reality is humans cant produce an aerosol effect hence why Covid is not spread in this fashion. Masks prevent droplet spread and not aerosol spread. Of course the science is not so black and white but I hope this helps. When Covid hit, as a provider we had to learn very quickly how to field questions like this, but with science it can be proven wrong. I hope this helps.

My friend, I wish to give you my opinion from a healthcare providers point of view. I really dont care what we used to fight this virus, anything helps. One case turns into 2, then 4,8,16 and so on and so on. Surgical masks protect you from droplet spread and this is how this is spread, droplets. Let me give you an example, have you ever seen the PPE worn in a hospital? It literally looks see-threw and you wonder how the hell is that going to protect you. Its prevents droplets from penitrating and you can wear and not sweat a storm. This is how masks works, unfortunately many are not worn properly, they dont seal very well and people wear them way beyond their effectiveness. The reality is everything helps. What makes is virus so deadly is it has a asymptomatic stage which means you can spread it and dont even know. SARS was more deadly but patients became ill right away and you knew as a healthcare provider to quarantine them. So wearing some type of face covering will provide some protection. I hope this helps. I will provide the difference between an aerosol and a droplet in a moment.

Seems odd that we are discussing this between Canada Day and Independence Day. I don’t think there any two nations on earth as close as we are, brothers so to speak. Its best we spend our energy in defeating a common enemy like Covid-19. Happy 4th to my American family and friends.
-
Oh gosh no Mike, all that money comes from all the 19.1 Trillion trade deficit you my friend have with us. Keep your SUV topped up this 4th of July weekend! Plus once the border opens, I will see streams of US plates not to far from me. I know, its very a tough place to live but please dont hate me for it Lol

I would like to thank everyone who is doing their part to minimize the risk during this time. Working in healthcare sucks even when the risk in my area is low, but things can change lightning fast. I appreciate all who are going their part. And for those nay-sayers, go fuck yourself... see you in ER soon enough.

Interesting article, and I agree that its time we begin to open our respective countries to business (which by all accounts is happening). My thoughts are open cautiously for human nature has an awful habit of forgetting the past. My only concerns: Fact One- "The overwhelming majority of people are not at risk of Covid-19, and that modelling had it completely wrong". What that statement fails to mention is that all prevention prior to have helped lesion the curve. We all witnessed what was happening in China and Italy and it seemed pretty bleak. We have all take credit, in that we took what was happening and we put data to good use. Fact Three: "Vital population immunity by total isolation is prolonging the problem" That is true but up to this point it also has been saving lives. We also are assuming that the bodies response system will react the same as it has to other viruses which we dont know yet. Remember, this is only months old, there has been cases of re-infection and wide spread reports that unreliable antibody test have flooded the market. To your point of Beers about fear. Who would have thought that a virus such as this would cause a run on anything like toilet paper (excuse the pun). Hell, they are now mentioning Killer Hornets, my first thought was should i go get more toilet paper? I think fear of the unknown is what drives people. Sadly politicians have been doing this for sometime and worse these days. Fear your neighbor for they believe in something different than yourself. Only one more point. From a public standpoint, one of the worse things that could happen to a model is that it works. If a projected model helps us social distance and putting preventative measures lessen the curve, it then counter acts what we have done successfully. This is called the "paradox of prevention", if it works people assume the things we were trying to fix were not a bad as they thought... BIG MISTAKE! I noticed a few examples of this, Both Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham have taken offense that the number of ICU beds and ventilators required have not materialize, in effect we all should be outraged. What? shouldnt we pleased that what we have done has lessened the effect and we ha to error on precaution for what was happening in Italy. In the end we have a lot to learn from Covid-19. Its hard to people to respond to a threat when they cant see its worst effects, and worst some will insist that the threat never existed.
