The >XI< Discord server is pretty much all minecraft anyway lol, not my scene. I am in the server but just muted it.

To be fair mate, I am bored as shit not being a student anymore! Working on the server is giving me something to do though, which is nice

Don't wipe any IWD's off of TDM though, I am working on something using those

@Painsponge The server is back up and I can connect so give it a shot when you can and see if you can connect. If not, let Loader or I know and we'll see what we can do

There have been a few issues with regards to connecting again recently. I cannot connect to DM at all, on HLSW it's timed out and won't let me connect, even if I try to connect through the Console in the game. Yesterday afternoon there were some issues with the servers, not only the CoD2 servers, with high pings for some players. I'll make sure to get it restarted and see if that does anything, @loaderXI will have to get that bit done. I'll keep people up to date on the status of the DM server

Comedy relies on stereotypes such as Apu and ALL the other stereotypical characters. Look at how many are rife in some of the most popular comedy shows! Without such tropes, it won't be funny, it will be like watching plain old 'average Joe' characters doing pretty much nothing.

Unfortunately you will need Steam open for it to launch as you have got it on Steam. If you exit steam and close the application and try to start the game you will get an error message saying: "Failed to find Steam" so unfortunately Steam will be required to launch the game which is a bit of a pain in the ass

@loaderXI should be your first port of call here with. I for one don't understand why Steam is overwriting the game files. I have the Steam version but don't launch it using Steam so mine is generally okay. Had a few times where my controls will reset but that's about it. I connect direct to the server using the program HLSW, give that a go. It should be in the download section. It allows you to connect directly to the server without having to go through the main menu. Steam should be open if you are using the Steam version though. You can actually change your name and fix hunk_meg issues without opening the game in the config files. Go to where CoD2 is saved on the PC Like: Program Files (x86) > Steam > Steamapps > Common > Call of Duty 2 > 28 > Players > [Your Name] > config_mp Open that up in notepad or notepad ++ and search for seta com_hunkMegs "160" and set that to seta com_hunkMegs "512" Changing the name is in the same file. Look for seta name "Unknown Soldier" and change it to seta name "ColdSore"

Thank you everyone for the kind words - it means a lot to me. I had a really good time yesterday and was quite emotional as it was the last time I'd see a lot of these people. All of us worked hard to get this done and I was pleased to work alongside such talented people. My mum and girlfriend are extremely proud of me and I am proud of myself. If I went back to do it again with the knowledge and the confidence I have now, I know I can get the highest grade but no stopping now. Aiming for my next level of education!

Hi all, just wanted to let anyone who is interested that I (of all people ) am graduating from University today with what we in England call a Upper Second-Class Honours Degree (2:1)! I am very pleased with myself and have the honour of graduating in Canterbury Cathedral which I am really looking forward to! Just wanted to share the good news! Also later this week I am applying for my Master level degree in Computer Animation of the University of Kent and I cannot wait to start that next year if I get accepted for an interview and then offered a place! I was in a game and I randomly chucked me out then in my squad a bunch of random people started showing up. I was so confused. They need to sort out the squad system, I hope they get it fixed

For once I am going to agree with what BDS said! We all go through hardships - my girlfriend is in a similar spot to you now, we're afraid her grandmother won't make it to christmas and to my girlfriends 21st birthday. What matters is that, as BDS said, you woke up this morning, you have all your family and your friends and us crazy fuckers. You'd be amazed how well people can bounce back though! What matters the most is that you and your family are there for your grandfather and you're all there for each other

And it is a skill I am very well rehearsed in and proud of it! I sure have sir! After my old man left I had to go of course but I came back 5 years ago, much to the surprise of everyone else couldn't leave these idiots behind. Now from JR to member then to Moderator helping @loaderXI manage and maintain the CoD2 servers, time does fly. I am sorry for the total ass kicking though! Don't worry, there are days I can't even scratch a positive score was good to see you again p-man.
