I also wanted to but my laptop seems to have decided that it does not like COD 2 and crashes before I even get to the menu screen.

Maybe someone can help me here. Every time I fire up COD 2 on my laptop it crashes before I can get to the main menu screen. It never used to do this and I can't figure out why it is now. Any help before the open house tomorrow would be appreciated.

Well, like the idiot I am, I forgot I was on Windows and that restarts fix everything so at least for now everything seems to be working.

I have the digital version of the game so reinstalling would involve a huge download that I am not prepared to do quite. I really shouldn't fucking have to. Punkbuster just needs to fucking die.

This is a post I put up in the EA Battlefield 3 forums that I am posting here because frankly I'm kinda pissed off and am venting. Enjoy. I have had nothing but trouble with Punkbuster today. I keep trying to join servers and I keep getting kicked by punkbuster for "Ignoring Queries". I have tried re-downloading punkbuster multiple times and have tried clearing my browser cache and other assorted things and I still keep getting this error. As far as I am concerned, all punkbuster seems to do is to keep honest gamers from playing their games. I have never seen punkbuster actually stop a hacker and it is really pissing me off. Punkbuster can DIAF and EABD for all I care.

CplMOFO I bought a flightstick, so I'll try to master the jets!!! What are the real causes for XI dropping BC2? It is still a good game, and lots are still playing it. Hopefully, BF3 will have the best BF2 and BC2 have to offer, and deliver a VIABLE alternative to COD. This is THE game I'm buying!!! Basically not enough people were coming onto the server on a regular basis to justify us keeping a server around. DICE/EA were rather slow to update that game and thus people were getting tired of the same maps again and again. We still sometimes play with each other on other servers, talking shit to each other on TeamSpeak.

Today on Steam you can get Battlefield Bad Company 2 for a whopping 5 bucks. Then maybe we can get together on some server somewhere.
