  1. Well Guys, you will probably think I am a nut, but I do. I am not going to go into depth, but I have a few reasons for this. I lived in Yakima Washington for 44 years and Eastern Washington is one of the Hot Beds of sightings. There have been many sightings every year, some of which made the national news. In my opinion, too many for there not to be some that are credible. Having said that, I know a fellow of interest and have known him for over 30 years, as a casual acquaintance. His name is Bob Gimlin. He and Roger Patterson are the two that caught a Bigfoot on video in California in 1967. I will say this.... I have never known the man to tell a lie. I also know that he has been ridiculed to the point that he won't answer questions about it... that video just about ruined his life. I will say this, nearly 60% if the United States has not been settled, large percentages are forest and mountains and places that people just don't live. So who can really say that something doesn't exist!
  2. Well, yes and no! As far as my Internet Connection.... other than prepping the area and clearing the right of ways, nothing is happening at this time..... BUMMER. As far as anything else, I am having to take it easy for awhile. Two weeks ago my six foot ladder and I took a trip. I have been working in the old barn trying to get everything the way "I" want it and take care of leaks in the metal roof and such. The barn floor has a lot of hard as rock manure from the ages around the walls of the barn. We have had a lot rain in the past few weeks and evidently enough water seeped in under manure. I sat my ladder up where it needed to be made sure it was stable and went up to the 3rd step and began drilling deck screws in some 2x4's I was adding. Then, the front left leg went through the crust and the ladder twisted out from under me and fell on its side, I came down on my feet but at an angle and I fell backward on to the ladder leg with the middle of my back. To make a long story short, I now have a vertebra with a small crack in it. I absolutely cannot sit up when lying down, it really hurts. But I can roll to my side and push myself up. Otherwise I am unaffected and nothing hurts in any other position. The good thing is my Doctor says that it should ease in awhile. Might have to have a little Physical Therapy, don't know yet. Other than that "Things are just Peachy"
  3. Cool Pic ! But you had better drink the beer fast.... Beer slushes at 27º and what little alcohol will freeze at -173.2º. But if you want a quick Cold beer get a paper towel wet, wrap that paper towel around your bottle, and pop it in the freezer. Ten minutes later, you will have a nice, chilled beer.
  4. After living in Eastern Washington State for 44 years.... I must say that I have become used to everything from a dusting to 4 feet in the front yard. Now that I live in Alabama... those days are gone, I hope..... (I am one of those that think we are in the throws of an early mini ice age). Never had a Snowblower, but I had a decent neighbor that had a tractor with a rear blade and I would take him out for a steak a few times a year. So, I don't know about studs or chains on a snowblower, although I would assume that lighter weight machines would call for chains. But, I have a bit of experience when it comes to Vans and etc. For me, if the snow is a foot or less then studs are best for me, I drove a work van with 10 or more men every other week 65 miles to work in every kind of weather. We got a lot of black ice and that stuff is awful. Anyway, just wanted to put in mine 2 cents.
  5. Well, Nikola Tesla developed a way to wirelessly transmit electricity in the early 1900's, look up Wardenclyffe Tower. There is some excellent reading to be found online about it and the conspiracies involved. To make it short... Edison, Westinghouse and J. P. Morgan set him up and when they saw that he was really making progress.... they pulled the plug and demanded their money, which of course he had used in good faith and was all gone. They drove him into bankruptcy and he lost everything. Wardenclyffe Tower was demolished and sold for scrap in 1917; Morgan, Edison and Westinghouse breathed a sigh of relief as the tower was gone and all records and experimentation as well: their fortunes , businesses and the power of their heavy hands were fully intact.
  6. Yea, I've had 28,516 days and am looking for more to come. Funny thing is that I find that I see myself as 12,775 trapped in that 28,516 day body !!!
  7. Have a Great Time my friend... and if you get the chance fish the West side of the Cascades along the Yakima River, one of the states Premier Trout rivers. And along the Washington/Oregon border fish the Klickitat and Wind rivers for big trout, steelies and salmon.
  8. TRUTH Hurts doesn't it......
  9. Timmahl, MadMonk2 here. I have been looking at premade worm composters on line and my wife is very interested as well. Is yours one that you built or is it a premade unit??? We live on Red Clay land and there are worms there, but they are scarce. I of course want them for catfishing.... my wife wants them for the raised bed garden beds that I am building for her, and she likes the idea of composting her kitchen waste for the beds as well as anything else that will compost. Anyway, thanks for the vids.
  10. Ah, but it was Eve who partook of the apple first, and then gave it to Adam. and we have been paying for that ever since as well!
  11. My first personal computer was a TRS-80 (Tandy Radio Shack). The operating system was on a floppy diskette.... and if you made one mistake with the floppy.... you were screwed. But, it was good for Pong and whatever.
  12. Well, to start with, when I was in the Air Force, I was an Inertial Guidance Tech Atlas E and Atlas F ICBM's. I only had one bullet, but I could put it anywhere in the world with deadly accuracy. When I got out, I did a few different things and then did a 5 year apprenticeship with the Plumbers and Steamfitters and worked for 50 years either welding, pipe-fitting or plumbing. Got my 50 year pin a couple of years ago. My last job was 7 years at the Hanford Vitrification Plant running the Fitters Warehouse. Retired now, moved to Alabama and am steadily looking for places to fish.
  13. 7toes, you will be greatly missed. I enjoyed the many hours that we were able to play. Rest in peace my friend.
  14. I really Thank all of you Idiots that wished me a Happy Birthday. It was appreciated. Just remember, I am watching you! Now if I could just get a good net connection.... they say it is coming
  15. Well Guys, I received a bit of good news about internet. As I said before the only connection that I can get is with a Verizon JetPack. Nothing else available! Our Electric company is beginning to run lines for Internet Service. 300, 1 Gig and 2 Gig !!! Whoopie!!! They are beginning in Eastern Alabama and hopefully I should have connectivity by the end of Summer... Maybe. And the prices are not bad compared to Satellite or DSL where it is available. SO I'm hoping to be back sooner than later. Just want to say I really miss you people and I can't wait to get back in the game.
  16. I have had friends that had their knees replaced and they are all in unison with you, about the pain. What percentage are they trying to get you to.... 110%?? Hope all goes well and that you recover quickly. Hmmm, I see a familiar area.... Metairie, LA.... I spent a lot of time south of LaFayette and on down to Morgan City and running on down from there. Lots of good memories. Keep working the knee.
  17. Well, you could do like some do in Taxas.... forget the shotgun and get a 223. They shoot flat for a long way. A friend uses one with a scope and sets up in a high spot or in a tree and starts calling, when the old Tom sticks his head up, he pops it off.
  18. Well people, I have a real problem! I moved to a very rural area in Alabama and there is no cable available.... I am using a Verizon Hot Spot and home network with the Jet Pack. We used up the monthly allowance in no time and that gives you unlimited 3G for the rest of the month. In other words.... No Fire Stick and I'm having a real hard time with Internet. I haven't tried to game yet, I figure that is totally out. Hughes Net is expensive from what I can see, so that is my delima. Does anyone have any experience in this situation? I know that there are different levels of connectivity that the different companies can supply, but here again, everyone that I have talked to in the companies have their own ideas of what I should do.... and no one can agree with each other. So that is why I am making this post, I need HELP from someone that has the knowledge to give me some direction.... in this case an Xtremeidiot. Thanks Guys
  19. .Thanks for the notification Athena. USMALE and I went head to head many times. And when it was just the 2 of us, we had many conversations while hunting each other. I will miss him. Yes, I will be there on the 1st and 2nd.
  20. You were Right Guys... I checked the back of my rig and there the Mic plug was laying on the table! Thanks, I really appreciate the help.
  21. OK Guys, I can't figure out what is happening BUT.... Got a newer computer, quad core, etc. and installed CoD4 Modern Warfare. I update v. 1.6 and v. 1.7 and when I try to go on Multiplayer I get a message that IW3MP isn't starting. Tried everything and I am stumped...... got any ideas???
  22. Have a very Happy Birthday Athena and may you have many many more.
  23. Spin, I know the loss that you feel with your Mothers passing. It is hard, mine passed May of last year. You will miss her, but take heart in that she will always be with you, in your thoughts and memories.
