Then it will work!!!" I scanned both using Virus Totals online file scanner which uses around 80 scan engines and both are 100% clean. Copied from one of the hundreds of posts people made on the steam forums over the past month and a half. Seems to be the only "fix" until Steam gets there heads out of there ass. Just replace the main exe file with a working v1.7 Steam exe and it will work again.

Raid SSD drives? Hell no. Been there done that. In most cases it will actually be Much SLOWER than a single hi read/write speed SSD because of the raid controller and the . And forget about striped Raid. Your sequential writes will be faster but your Read speeds will be cut almost in 1/2 It will be slower than a single SSD in the long run. Check this chart out. There are Samsung 840 evo drives. 128gb 256gb and 512gb all tested as single drives and raid 0. Raid 0 striped was not included in this graph because it was less than 1/2 the performance of a single SSD drive. Raid 0 Non striped was a whopping 2-3% faster but you have No backups if 1 drive were to crash. Raid 5 and 1+0 (raid 10) was also tested and found to be JUST slightly faster than 1 SSD drive but they had major stability issues (randomly dropping raid is the worst) with all of the raid controllers they tested.

And it also contributes to the growing Moose Molestation cases. lol

This helps ALOT. Set it to ( Semi-Annual Channel ) instead of ( Semi-Annual Channel "Targeted" ) If your not interested in being a Guinea Pig for Beta updates. "Targeted" means you are targeted to receive partly tested "Beta" updates that are Not ready for Widespread distribution and use. I do not have mine paused and I haven't received the new update yet because it's not ready for widespread distribution and use.
