Bunny hopper here. Sorry about doing that, it's because the FPS games I played when I first got a computer had jumping as a core action of the game. Hard to break old habits, I still sometimes find myself trying to jump dodge like in unreal tournament. hacking camper! Stop shooting me, I am trying to bunny hop my way to a nuke! I'll get it one of these days when you don't stop my streak one kill short *sniffle* Doesn't the regular freeze tag server prevent bunny hopping? My weapon appears to go away any time I accidentally jump on that server. I'm not sure how much removing bunny hopping would help long term. I think it's the easiest thing to complain about currently, and removing it would just move the complaining to tubes. Would those get removed then when that happens? After that, kill streaks and perks being annoying/unfair? Then we are just playing the other freeze tag with different weapons. I wasn't here when they had a separate server before, but I assume one of the issues with getting people to play there would be: Someone has to be actually be there. if your choice is an empty server or one with people, people will just go to the one with players already there. I've seen in earlier mod updates multiple people complaining about the new version in game, and some talking about going to the old server that still had the previous version up and only one person left to go on it, and came right back after it was apparent no one else was going. I personally don't like playing when there are less than 20 people, but I just enjoy the faster paced action when there are a ton of people. *shrug* Finding new servers isn't the easiest. The in game master list (for me at least) is beyond broken and most servers don't even show correct information/player counts. I had to search for this clan tag to even find out that these servers were still around earlier in the year. The server would probably have to be advertised in the current servers via the b3 addon. I know there is a game tracking website that lists server, but I don't know how accurate it is or if there is a better way. I would like to try out bf4, but I missed out on the sale they had

I will then listen to them bitch me out (hardwired) for jumping so much and not dying. Unless boomboom is playing, then I will silently wait till I hear him on hardwired, then knife him from the shadows...

I didn't like it, but those type of movies just aren't my cup of tea. *sips*

You should consider making a github or bitbucket account. You can do private repos on bitbucket, I think github still requires them to be public. Wouldn't have to worry about losing everything on a hd and you could commit changes for each version that gets put out. I am really glad the 3 kill streak storing was added. I need to change my kill streaks to be further spread so I don't forget to use one of my streaks when I accidentally kill one too many people in a row D: It is much easier to knife boomboom in this mod version !fu boomboom

Copy of GZ is gone. This game is pretty awesome, spent 5 hours on it last night and I am only 2% done! Granted, I had to stop a lot to clean up puke, but still. I spent 5 hours playing Bioshock and was half way done.

You don't keep the source in a repo? oh man, I didn't realize how easy it was to run out of ammo in this old mod! There have definitely been some awesome quality of life improvements in the new mod versions, though knifing does seem much easier in this version @@Sammy is pretty awesome

I guess it's not DDOS again like before? Is the server a VPS? I've seen VPS providers oversell cpu like cable companies do with bandwidth.

I don't think other styles would really play well with the way freeze tag currently works. Totally messes up the dynamics, especially when one team is down on players and trying to defrost people to stay in the round. Maybe if you auto unfroze after x amount of time (with normal defrosting working as is) for those other styles, which would probably have it's own issues. *shrug* I think another problem is people finding servers. I don't know how anyone elses game is, but my master list in game doesn't function. It lists so many servers at or near full when there really isn't anyone there at all. I don't think a lot of people would be able to find it unless they knew about the community beforehand, or searched on sites (like the link in my signature). I was only able to start playing again because I was going through old files and saw an old freezetag screenshot with this clans tags in it and searched and found this site and server list.

Ahh okay. Just thought I'd mention because everyone (not me though, it's a great map) seems to hate this one map (I forget the name, it's kind of open, has a few towers, and a big tank/jeep parking area) and is usually voted to skip when an admin is there (or sometimes switched without a vote).

Would it be better to have some kind of command (like !fu boomboom) each player could type on a map to say if they like or don't like a map (votes tied to users guid so they can't vote more than once, but can change their vote, also probably let them know when they join or a server hint)? That way over time, maps that are heavily voted down don't get added back to the rotation in the future?

You forget the ballistics vest perk. I always hear people complain about not being able to kill me when I am using that perk.

Yea, it's a suicide, cooking it till it explodes, you then respawn instead of being frozen. I like it the way it is because it lets me switch my weapon setup without having to let someone kill me first.

Speaking of valid death/suicide. So, about nades, If you die from throwing your own nade, you get frozen as I would expect. However, if you hold a regular nade until it pops, you die and respawn. Wondering if that is a bug or intentional.
