The update for 5/5 seconds works and is definitely a improvement! Thanks Sammy. I think the regular crossbow needs to go. It's a giant bottleneck on the chain of guns. I wouldn't mind more guns, because you can never have too many guns. But once the first person gets past crossbow, it becomes a landslide after that.

Will the restart also change the spawn/protection time? We had a lot of people on last night and it was still at 10. Server wasn't restarted as far as I know since there wasn't a smaw last night.

No, I mean in the actual game. I know occasionally there are notes that will flash up where the chat with server messages every now and then. Something like that but bolder to advertise the other XI servers.

I don't know if this is already in place, if it is I never notice, but can the XI servers have something in game to advertise the other XI servers? I know we had like 14 people on the gun game server the other night, but that's only after telling everyone in game that we were going there.

We didn't see a smaw last night when we played. Maybe the server wasn't restarted? There are debug messages that print when someone is killed "callback" something another on the wording. Nous and I both got kicked for "IWD impure client" something another. I don't know which file it said for him, but for me it was z.iwd. I deleted that file from the mod folder and it didn't re-download, but I could still connect. Also had a strange disconnect where in the middle of the map it switched to the server loading screen as if the server switched maps, but it only happened to me

Any chance for an anti-camp? Was annoying trying to kill people when half the people were just hiding in one spot. Whoever got to the knife stage first would win because they could just spawn near someone camping

Yea, the thermal setting you were using. For example, I usually always use the last one since it seems to have the best view/range ratio. If I was using that one, turned into a car, when I got out of the car, when I bring my scope up, it'd be back to the regular screen and I would have to cycle back through to get to the last thermal. The zoom appears to stay though. Also believe they both get reset when you die.

I'd like the hunter killer perk (minus the zoom) to replace night vision instead of being only on sniper rifles. Or for the hunter killer perk to remember what settings you were using before turning into a car/predator/etc. I'd also like a sound perk added where everytime someone freezes boomboom, this sound plays just for him I once encountered a bug that let me shoot my weapon while using a predator as it was falling to the ground, would have been a great moment with sound included.

Was just wondering if anyone plays this game on a ultrawide monitor. I am getting a new rig soon, which will include new monitor(s). So I was wondering what this game would look like running on it. Basically I just want to make sure the game wouldn't become stretched out. I know all games have fov restrictions on how inward you can have them, but this game seems to limit how wide your fov is as well, and I don't want to play in windowed mode to keep a non-stretched view.

Are you able to connect to other CoD4 servers? (Assuming you are on Windows) Can you try running the game with elevated permissions? (Right click Run As Administrator) And then try connecting Mule had a weird windows 10 problem that wouldn't let him connect unless he ran the game with elevated permissions

These are the ones I have been using since June 2013. http://en-us.sennheiser.com/gaming-headset-pc-350-special-edition I've been gaming for 17 years now, so I have been through lots of brands. They are pricey, but the best headset I ever had. I put a wind screen on my mic though because I usually have a heavy duty turbine fan going in the summer. My only complaint is the fake leather on the ear pads is crap and would break apart, eventually replaced them a year and a half latter with cloth pad replacements, but I haven't been able to find anymore for work headset. I also just use the stock onboard sound card for plugging them in. No issues with hearing people trying to sneak up on me, unless they have dead silence perk.

Hey I would love to play more, but you fuckers I know need to be on more when I am! It also is quite a bit different than CoD4 FT, so I am still getting used to the game, but this game is more fun to play with people you know than solo, so yea... RL and work are also taking up more time right now. New fiscal year in healthcare is coming up, so crunch time on making sure everything is up to date for CMS Oct 1st updates. !fu @@iboomboom

I got the game as well. Only boomboom has been brave enough to play with me so far. Uranium_XI on origin. typically can only play a little in the evenings and then open to the weekends. I suck at vehicles, so don't ask me to drive. I don't even like driving IRL...

Then there appears to be a bug where that sometimes does not happen, remote defrosting I mean. Occasionally I will still be able to while the timer is going. I will try and see what was happening next time I see it.

Hey Sammy, With emp disabling distance defrosting (use key), what are the specifics when that should occur (excluding having hardwired obviously)? I've noticed that sometimes when I emp myself or get emp'ed by the enemy, I can still defrost from a distance sometimes. Not always, but sometimes, didn't know if it was a bug or something I missed.
