At first shooting at it did nothing. Then when it was "fixed", I would see a message saying it was destroyed and see the explosion image, but it would keep on trucking, occasionally staying around for the entire map (including multiple rounds). When working as expected, and being able to be shot down, I think 4 kills was fair for what it did. You can get the same number of people defrosted with a car (distance permitting) and that one is only 3 kills. I would say shooting at the uav is much easier to destroy than trying to kill cars (especially with hardwired perk). I would love to see the uav defroster back!

It stayed that way. The pad came out, autoclimb happened, then it stayed on screen. I can try and recreate it when I get home tonight.

Found a small bug with not allowing the kill streak usage when jumping. I tried using a kill streak, and auto-climbed on a ledge (crash map roof above the hardware room), and it caused the kill streak thing (tablet? I don't know what to call it) to stay on the screen and wouldn't let me switch back my weapon until I got killed. Seems to work perfect with cancelling when jumping (though I get shot more often now since I can't jump during that *sadface*).

Ugh! I finally took off hardwired perk yesterday. I accidentally EMP'ed myself, because I am a defrosting kingpin. Couldn't use my perks for 30 seconds! That's 25% of overtime time! I'm back to hardwired. Bring on your puny emp nades mortals!

I develop software for SNF's (Skilled Nursing Facilities) that does form submission to CMS nationally and Texas locally, analytics, etc. Also get to come up with new ways to help the SNF's when every year the government makes some new requirement or change that makes it even harder to collect the money they are supposed to get paid for taking care of people. I sit in a dark cubbyhole in the office, so I consider myself a cave troll.

I play it every once in a while, a co-worker has a server, but not very people ever play on it. I do pretty terrible on servers with lots of people.

There was a tornado here in Garland. It missed us by several miles *phew* I was playing freeze tag while the sirens were going off lol

Ooo I'm jealous. I've wanted to move to Austin for a long time. A former co-worker moved there earlier this year and loves it. If we're lucky and my girlfriends most recent bone marrow transplant works, maybe I can convince my work to let me work remotely from there full-time.

Noticed I now get hit registrations on the UAV defrosters, but I can shoot both friendly and enemy ones, and after it tells me the defroster was destroyed, it keeps going and still defrosts for the remainder of it's 30 second timer.

@@PoisenIvy If you are on Windows you can check your registry to see if it is still there, I don't know how to do this on any other system Open "regedit.exe" (Windows 8 and up press windows key, then type regedit.exe, Windows 7 and down there should be a "Run" command you can enter it from the start menu) Navigate to the following folder structure 1) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE 2) SOFTWARE 3) Wow6432Node 4) Activision 5) Call of Duty Then there should be a value on the right with the key.

@@Sammy Any chance we could change the audio for the UAV Defroster when it is called? It plays the same sound file as the regular UAV so when I am not paying attention to chat messages, I don't realize it's the defrost and not the regular UAV I need to shoot down so I can stay hidden. I don't know if the defroster uav can be shot down, but I never get hit markers like I do with the other air streaks. What do you think about adding a defroster mini-nuke? I believe it was randall talking about it on teamspeak over the weekend. Thought it might be interesting *shrug*

Is there a way to add these to the xi downloader? I have to keep downloading these maps manually because through the game takes forever. I see a list of servers in the xi downloader options, but don't see a way to add a server or just have to dowload everything in the cod4 folder on the xiredirect site

Are you on win 8.1? I had this weird problem where it kept downloading the mod files to rotu2.2.2 instead of rotu2.2.2.r198 I ended up downloading them manually from the xiredirect server

Looks like the redirect download is missing some maps.
