There is a host side problem and if you get the waiting issue just give it a couple of tries....We all have had them for the most part across afew different servers

Reminds me of a time in Cod2 we had a player ghosting all over the place so I ip traced the player and it back to Alaska Everyone was complaing but I told them for all I know the player had a few Eskimos holding a pole up outside so he/she stays whoever it was stayed that round and we have never had anyone from Alaska play that I have seen

If your problem was today on Cod DM server we all had the waiting to connect forever message...I restarted the server and it worked its self out I at first thought it was me so I did a moden reboot...did a ipconfig /flushdns with command prompts and a Pc reboot Let us know if its still a problem you old fart

Try malwarebytes.... Sometimes you have to download it to a thumb drive from a clean pc then boot your computer in safe mode plugin the thumb launch malwarebytes let it up date from there then run...That will work if you cant kill it straght way from the point you are at now

I use a Surfboard SBG6580 and I will say it serves me great lowered my ping and stable,Wifi is great too

Harry can you add your solution to this problem in our wiki aka >XI<Bible thread "If you are playing Call of Duty 4 on Windows 8, and you encountered following error : iw3mp.exe has stopped working , this is how you can fix it. First, go to Control Panel, Sound, and then click on recording tab. When in recording tab, right click and mark "show disabled devices". There you should see "stereo mix" , just enable it and go play Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare. plug in your mic/headset

We have the same issue on Cod2 servers and the respawn was set to longer time and the correct answer is get the hell out of where you are... Some people like to camp and that stops them from doing that with out having there ass handed to them Im a run and die kinda player so never in the same place any way

Harry having very little knowlegde with 8.1 I cant help you but I would be interested in learning the fix you come up with....Also what little I do know with 8.1 is if you have set up a user account it may install bits and pieces in different directories and I think every thing is in your app data file Patch should be 1.7 for Cod4 did you try to launch the game with and with out a head set plugged in ? perhaps your iw3mp.exe became corrupt after the install....I could upload you a copy of mine via Xfire Worst case a reinstall may be needed but again follow the path as I stated it should launch from your app folder Please report back what you come up with

Ok so make a long short story that happen last night Take my Mom to Walmarts so she can buy some things she needs food/house items and get some Christmas shopping out of the way... Well she grabs a bunch of gift cards for different places on top of what she has picked out items wise and everything gets scanned she is instructed to swipe her bank card and then sign as she was using credit... Ok bingo all done !!!!!! Nope the register freaks out and goes belly up froze buffering lost...A hour goes by and the register was shut down as we waited for it to do something after over rides resets etc....Tic toc still nothing so they tell me to take my Mom home with all the stuff and come back .... I suggest checking her account online to see if the charge has been made and will call them to let them know before returning... Check her account and no charge is pending or showing any where...Ok they say tomorrow we wil call you once we retrieve the transaction and you can verify once again that no charge has been done...Well this morning this afternoon still no charge and now they say they had people try to retrieve the transaction to no avail...Ok so now what you dont know what she baught and I never did a inventory on the items so who knows what she baught... At the end of the day they say we will at some point right every thing off so keep it but you need to bring the gift cards back to repurchase them The grand total with gift cards was over 450.00 bucks 225.00 of which was cards and the rest well was free to her Merry Christmas

We have every year and this one will be no different...Killa>XI< passed on the 18th and for the most part its a event that carries over for afew days and the weekend would serve everyone better so @@JohnnyDos is most likely correct

Well I too have this problem from time to time and use Google...So what I have to do is clear my browser of cached images located under more tools found with your control settings icon
