  1. My first thought: What adorable grandchildren! My second thought: Holy Shit! Henry Kissinger plays freezetag!
  2. I know what it's like to fuck-up frequently when playing, as I like to just jump around the map, hoping my reflexes & the element of surprise will get me by. More often however, I find myself dying in the most ridiculous ways because of my Idiocy & get to hear people relish in celebration of having shot me; eavesdrop is hilarious that way. Someone can kill me 3 or 4 times in a row; then when I finally get back to where they are & shoot them, it's somehow beyond unfair how I managed to freeze them after being shot or blown up 3 times previous. Idiots everywhere. There's a small map in rotation this week, or maybe it was last; have played it for a couple years, & found out for the first time that there is a small bookshelf that you can slide to the side to get to a hidden room. Learn something new, even after years of playing.
  3. That's nice, sweetie; mommy's busy entertaining. Now go outside & play.
  4. GPU? Cause them bitches are ridiculously overpriced right now.
  5. What?
  6. First read the title as 'Stranded Derp', which is probably more accurate if Jim's playing. =D
  7. Apparently you didn't bother to read as far as my second post, where I describe having been shown the bullet by the building manager.
  8. ...are cookin'-up nicely; medium rare to medium is as far as I like to go. They have a lot of marbling for select; would say not far from prime; & @ $6/lb. are a steal. Gonna have to go scoop some more tomorrow.
  9. Reminds me of this chick to whom the local game warden referred me for coordination back when I did wildlife rehabilitation. She knew her shit & was dedicated; but she was like one of those crazy cat ladies that would let the squirrels & ground squirrels brought to her absolutely trash some rooms of her house; to include chewing the shit outta door frames. And they were nice door frames. I still distinctly remember the silently anguished look on her husband's face whenever I would stop by.
  10. I'm not important enough to merit that ignominious effort.
  11. Earth tones & neutrals is what I prefer; any gangs with those tones would probably pretty mellow.
  12. What I have is a sinus infection and acute bronchitis with the early stages of double pneumonia; after 6 weeks, I was back to about 80% health bar. Took a total of 3 months to be back to 100%. The phlegm isn't as thickly pernicious & abundant, being bacterial, instead of viral.
  13. Yeah, I had to laugh, because even just after I noticed the inner pane was intact, I still looked to see if my TV was ok. Duh.
  14. Ok, disregard...my apologies. I meant to say: Thanks for asking, not that I know of.
  15. Fury beaver... sounds dangerous
  16. We can still meet-up, & I can still punch you in your big stupid head, if that's what you're itching for.
  17. Guys doing maintenance on the exterior of the building from a cherry picker noticed the bullet fragment - which was the back-half of the bullet - laying between the two panes. When the building manager showed it to me, I saw immediately it was a hunting caliber size. It had material like that of the exterior of our building embedded in the front end of its remnants, leading me to believe it might have struck the building before hitting the window. Nobody would've been targeting me specifically, as there's no way to know whose apartment is where from the nondescript exterior. Lining up the largest hole in the screen with the hole in the window produces an oblique angle that also included the smudge or whatever on the inner, intact pane. This had to have happened in the past couple days & had me thinking to a loudish sound I heard hitting the window a couple evenings ago, which I attributed to a bird strike; although I can't be sure that was when it happened. It's an interesting mystery of sorts. The building manager messaged the photographs to the police that live in our building for their opinion, & in all probability will file a report to facilitate insurance coverage, among other things.
  18. Thanks. I live several stories up; magnetic locks on building doors with cameras all throughout & on the perimeter... even a few police live in the building. Nice area, nice people. Wouldn't live in a crime-ridden area.
  19. The back end of the bullet that the building manager showed me seems to be from a hunting rifle caliber round. I'm thinking someone in the woods a mile or so away was being very stupid. You can actually see the hole it left in the screen, along with a smudge on the 2nd pane. People doing repair & maintenance work from a cherry picker actually noticed it.
  20. Interesting, in that it only penetrated the outer pane; must've been at the end of its trajectory. Wonder if it was a ricochet. My 65" tv sits in front of this window; so after ascertaining that it only penetrated the outer pane, I immediately checked to see if it damaged my tv. Derp.
  21. Yeah, prices are ridiculous here, too. It's just that this store only charges you 10% more than what they pay; and they have a butches that cuts the meat there from the primal cuts.
  22. So hungry, you gonna cook your camera.
  23. It's interesting to watch these humble villagers' reactions, excursions, & development over the episodes.
  24. When I caught it in Feb. of 2020, I went to bed with that prodrome feeling, knowing you're getting sick & tomorrow for the next week or two won't be fun. Fell asleep with a low-grade fever & woke up with muscle aches all over, chest feeling thick & wheezy. Shit fucked me up worse than any flu I've had as far as the double pneumonia that took 3 weeks of coughing to clear with another 4 or 5 weeks to convalesce & feel somewhat normal again. Shit's no joke & got the vaccine as soon as it was available. From 1st-hand experience, I'd rather take the chance on the vaccine than catch that shit again. I can see older & out of shape people dying from this; it hits hard, fast & deep.. & if you don't have the reserves, it's curtains. With over 6 BILLION doses given, it's a much safer bet than that Rona.
  25. Lol, only did it because I was already there shopping; still wasn't a good idea. Ended up getting it repaired at the shop where I normally get the oil change.
