  1. Here's some nice, epic fantasy then: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Chronicles_of_Thomas_Covenant
  2. Title sounds like what an accountant might say when getting kinky with his old lady.
  3. Reminds me of the Chronicles of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda. I remember one of them, where he's hanging out with the Yaqui Bruho, being taught the Way of The (Spiritual) Warrior with Mescaline buttons being a facilitator of visions, guidance & spiritual growth/perspective. Anyway, he reported back to his mentor, Don Juan what he had experienced & what insights he achieved through his visions & altered/expanded reality. After commenting on it's meaning for him, & after further inquiry by Carlos about what was going on during this- for him- spiritual encounter from Don Juan's perspective, he shares that he was naked, chasing the dog around the house, pissing on it... and that the dog later ended up pissing on him. I know this shit, over the course of several books, was more than likely embellished; but it's fun reading.
  4. Grubhub, doordash, instacart, postmates, etc. So, Independent Contractor. Other than the mileage, supplies & meals is about it. Took like 20 minutes.
  5. Not difficult to believe. The .58/mile deduction for me made it rather simple for me.
  6. Yeah, well; except that 2 minutes into itemizing one can see the .58/mile deduction is orders of magnitude more profitable. Then again, why was I conversing with a flippin' stuffed t0y, anyway. I mean, I don't talk to my bacon or pork chops before I fry them. Then again, sometimes I do. "Man, you're gonna taste sooo good, little buddy..."
  7. What do you mean '...or did it cost me more?'?
  8. Saved me $190.
  9. https://www.myfreetaxes.com/
  10. Anyways, No fun could shoot across the map; even set up a giant target billboard that spanned a goodly portion of the map, just to make sure. Helped me dial it in to the proper distance so everybody was in range.
  11. First thing I though when I saw the title of this thread was: Some of them Russian chicks are H0T. Anyways, carry on. Always found map-making fun & relaxing. Back in the day, I even imported custom models & took the time to skin them in Radiant, so they'd have appropriate impact. Went overboard on a huge tunnel map one time, just to see what the limits of various aspects of the game's engine. Made it as big as Radiant would allow... and it was so damn big, that the bullets wouldn't impact a player on the other end of the map. Not even with a sniper rifle. Gonna have to get back into it when I have more time. My favorite was a map called Meatgrinder, which I hand recreated from the Delta Force series. Man that map was so much fun. Anyways, be good to see what it looks like.
  12. Yes, I used 3" wood screws all-around. The 2X4 are Pine; I believe the 4X4 are also Pine. I just -for health reasons-specified it be untreated. The top comes off & I have another, beefier top I can set on top for heavier woodworking or other projects. It's so stable & level that I didn't even need to secure the top with the L brackets I bought. Menard's has a drop saw outside in the back lumber yard where you can have your shit cut-to-length. Always loved working with my hands & it was a great excuse to spend a few $$ & do just that. Also nice that I can disassemble the entire thing in about 20 minutes to transport, when I move. Gonna attach a bench vise to the side for funzies. Oh, & conveniently, there were 2 2-foot sections of 4X4 remaining, which I can use to brace the Y-axis at the top & bottom.
  13. Lunch would be anything come runnin' up thru there. Didn't you say you were of the rotund persuasion?
  14. It's a kennel in Norway, so she grows up with them until they find a home/buyer. It's really cool how they range out & around her & the other pups; checking the perimeter & coming back to communicate with each other & update their information. Yeah, & can't get much safer than in the middle of a herd of refined wolves guarding you en mass. Maybe throw in 5 or 10 Cane Corso for funzies. Them things are monsters.
  15. Yes, I was thinking how cool that was, & wondering about the oddest, most random stuff the Youtube algorithm chooses to recommend. Then I was thinking 'pity the f00 that ever pisses her off.' And how well they do their job of shepherding & guarding her & the other youngsters they keep in the center of their perimeter they maintain & patrol, even as they play.
  16. Grew increasingly annoyed at the lack of counter space; being relegated to a small patch between the fridge & stove, or either of two just-as-small patches between either side of the sink & walls. So, with the help of my buddies Rudy & Det, I built a custom bench affording me a little more space. Not bad for ~$50.
  17. So, then, you're not gonna take your ball & go home?
  18. On my worst day, I couldn't smell bad as NJ! ...and @ $275, it'd even make your stinkin' ass smell passable.
  19. Drinkin' the Hatorade. It's ok, some people turn a shade greener when experiencing the olfactory awesomeness that is Timmah!
  20. They do take a nice picture. Thanks for the compliment; was more an extemporaneous stream-of-thought kinda thing.
