Last night will burn in my memory always! My favorite rock band allowed me up on stage after soundcheck to TRY to hold up with them for a song on my own! Lead guitarist took up my spot down front of stage and recorded a video for me. 
1st I have to say, playing at home along with Youtube videos with no pressure or crashing drums beside you.... SOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER!!! 
That being said, i DID mess up a bit but everyone there said I did an amazing job powering through and even nailed a few spots and drop ins!! My hands were shaking soooo much after lol!

Cool Change.mp4 Last night the marina where we keep our boat hosted a Christmas decorating competition.  My wife and I busted our butts trying to get our boat Cool Change onto the leader board.  But holy cow were we wrong.  We didn't even get a mention!  Some of theses people went all out in their decorations.  The winning boat (which I do not have a photo of) had a 'Polar Express' theme, with a train on the boat and showing the movie.  It was legit!  I used a Light-o-rama on Cool Change to keep the music and lights sequenced.  We love how it turned out!  The video has Super Mario Brothers music in the background because I was standing close to a boat with that theme....the lights are not sequenced to that music.  You just can't here ours because the sound was coming out of the back of the boat away from me.  Tons of fun!

I was playing the new find the bacon game , very tasty!!!

Many of you'se know my love for the Canadian Rock band called Monster Truck, have become super close with the band over the years, played onstage with them 6 years ago, in a few of their videos, fuck I even sing gang vocals on 2 of their songs!! I never have to pay for ticket to a show. Well this week they play Friday and again on Saturday, Saturday will be my 50th live show I have been to. On Friday night after sound check the boys are going to let me play any song I want with them, the lead guitarist will get off stage, I will take his spot and try my hand at playing a song with them and no help or being covered up by lead guitar playing as well, just me on guitar and the rest of band! Im beyond excited for this as it is not public knowledge yet, but, the lead singer and close friend of mine Jon is leaving the band Saturday night will be his last time playing with them, my 50th show and likely the bands last show. Jon writes 90% of the guitar riffs and 95% of the lyrics, so, I cant see how the band will or can continue without him. He has already formed a new band and has 4 songs recorded, and has their 1st super fan already in me LOL
So as gutted as I am that my favorite band is ending, im on cloud 9 that they want me to rock a tune with them as a going away / 50th show gift. 
I will be playing the song Don't Tell Me How To Live, solo and all, which has me nervous as I dont solo much, give me a riff to play and Im all good, luckily not a tough solo by any means, took video of my attempt and sent to lead guitarist and lead singer, both said I will be fine!

Shirt I got made for the 50th show! The band all gonna sign it and going to get a bunch of regular fans I have met over the years that will be at these 2 shows to sign it as well, and sound guys, everyone who has made this ride so much fucking fun the last 12 years!!!!

    Do you have any nicknames? Personal or in game? My family still calls me Kathy, but other people call me Kat because I used to work at cats meow.
    When and where were you born? October 1, 1963 in New Orleans Louisiana
    When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? When I was a child I wanted to be a singer and an actress. I went onto fulfill those career dreams.
    Where have you lived? I’ve lived in New Orleans Louisiana, Metairie Louisiana, Laplace Louisiana, Kenner Louisiana, Memphis Tennessee, Nashville Tennessee, and now I live in Kankakee Illinois  
     
    What got you into gaming? In my 30s I ended up having cancer three times. To distract myself from the pain and depression I started playing a game called fear. It’s an FPS horror based game.
    Your first game you played?  Fear and red alert Tiberian sun
    And what do you play now? Generally I play call of duty, Skyrim, and spades on my phone
    Why did you join XI? Years ago when I first met some of the members I thought they were really nice and cool people. Eventually they asked me if I wanted to join and I jumped at the chance. It’s wonderful having a community that has your back.
    What do you get from being in this clan? Friendship, social inclusion, and killed a lot.

    Do you volunteer? If so, where? Years ago I did community theater which charged people to see the play and the money went to help subsidize different community services in the town I lived in.
    What is an interesting fact about you? Back in my acting days I was accidentally in a porno. I got called by a friend of mine and he said they were making a horror movie and would I please be one of the bordello girls in the background. So I went there and I got in my corset and all those little things and during filming, I noticed that there were people rubbing on each other. After the general shot where they showed us all girls just sitting around they cleared the set and went on for the bedroom scene. So yeah, I accidentally did porn  

    Have you continued your education past college or university with career development seminars or classes? What kind? I attended the University of New Orleans for 10 years graduating in 2005. I went on to become a benefits administrator and then after Katrina I went up north and became a mortgage lost mitigation analyst eventually working my way up to human resources Director.
    Did you know what profession you wanted to work in when you started college? I wanted to be a vocal music education teacher with an emphasis in coral conducting
    Did you belong to any professional organizations? No
    What is your current job title? I consider myself retired. I live off of a disability check from the government. It’s really hard having a fixed income but I do what I can.
    Did you win any awards or recognitions during your education?  I will always be proud of being in the chamber singers at the University of New Orleans. It was a very small group of singers at the University who did quite a number of performances. We actually did magical dinners one Christmas and it was the most fun. We all got dressed up in medieval costumes and I was sending notes to the chancellor saying hey handsome and stuff like that
    Where do you work?  I’m retired
    What other job titles have you had in your career? Benefit administrator, mortgage loss mitigation analyst, HR Director, assistant to the CFO, cashier.
    Where else have you worked? Fringe benefit administrators, first American lost mitigation, FieldTechs.
    Why did you choose to work in your industry? I needed the money
