People often wonder why the bond market is “smarter” than the stock market

It all boils down to this:

Bond traders read books filled with difficult math and go to AGMs and corporate briefings

Equity traders read magazines and go to ball games and strip clubs

This has been the longest running bull market ever... imho this bull market ending time, yes things get bumpy and to be honest, if you need some cash from investments, do it asap, should have done it sooner, but hold on to your remaining investments, what goes down will go up again and then some...   Choose wisely though.   I am actually relived that this bull run is ending, and after all the bumps and jumps, cannot wait for another bull run to start up again.  Here are my rules.  1. buy low  2 sell high  3. invest, invest, invest  4. don't panic (Wanna be well off as an old person?  Save, invest  DO IT NOW.)  :hi:   https://investor.vanguard.com/investor-resources-education/how-to-invest

I parked my money in 2018 because I knew I was leaving work in 2019, just waiting for the longest bull market to ease off so I could reinvest. So then Covid happened and the world took a SH!T. Yes I lost a bunch of speculated money I might have made, but didn’t loose my initial cash or any sleep over it!
I’m happy with my decision. Yes inflation is eating up my savings but I still can enjoy life.

I love the Bond Market. It's where I park my money when the market is bad. However, when I want to make money, well stocks are the place to be. "Smart" comes into play with the investor. He or She needs to make good choices about where and when to put their money. Sometimes it's stocks and sometimes its Bonds. History shows that the return on investment is far better with stocks. History also shows that the bond market is a good way to protect your investment. I guess it boils down to one's personality and tolerance to risk. Best of luck out there to those investing!

I don't put all my eggs in one basket, and panic selling isn't an option. This downturn has one advantage, all the dividend paying stocks & mutual funds can buy more shares at a lower price. If you don't need the money, don't cave in. Crypto was nothing that interested me, but I do look at it. Just not comfortable playing with something that can evaporate over night. Rather go play in the mountains with a washpan & a bottle in my pocket.

the differance is stock market is controlled  and digital is the wild west.

since 2018 how many digital markets vapourized is the question.

digital money was invented to bypass taxes and hide wealth then ponzi-ized

Not knowledgeable at all about crypto currency but always wondered as I heard the same thing that it was created to avoid any tax collections. If so how is it considered a legal form of currency to any government. Just wondering , I'm sure there is something I missed somewhere.

Silver lining, Capital Group paid out mid-year capital gains & dividends. I was very pleasantly pleased at the share increases.......now if they were only worth what they were in January. I'm going to keep working.  I can take my wife's Social Security beginning 1-9-23 as her widower. It'll cost me $1.00 for every two dollars I earn over $19.5k, but it's better to get the money from them now, before the world's largest Ponzi scheme sinks.
