Ask 100 random people these questions: How many drone strikes were there last year? Who has launched more? Bush or Obama? Name three shootings since 2008 where 10 or more people were killed. How many soldiers died in Iraq? How old is Miley Cyrus? Name any five Disney characters. Who was last years winner in The Voice? Who plays "Iron Man"? I guarantee that most people will have to look at least four of them up, assuming they know how to. Guess which ones. Says alot about a society that complains when govt doesnt fix a problem when we cant agree on a solution. Its very depressing and people are very good at tuning out things they dont want to hear.

Heh. Yes I know. Spent two hours trying to get my old mx510 mouse to work. I would love for one of those new fangled laser mice but I dont have the money for it and trying to save up for a new graphic card at Christmas. Forward and backward buttons were not accepting binds. I use them for melee and throwing nades. Last evening I didnt have an opportunity to knife anyone so had no idea it didnt work. Finally figured it out after lots of internet searching and it was an easy fix. But I would have thought Logitech would have posted about it somewhere. Found it on some forum regarding WoWarcraft. I dont remember XP giving me stupid problems like this when I first installed it.

Also let us know how the players are. Typical cod console run and gunners or people that play the objective. Stick with squads and such. The vids I saw of it seem to be of players that dont work with others nor try to capture objectives.

Good news is that it seems cod4 is working with Windows 7. I think. Kicked or timed out once and wouldnt let me rejoin with a message about waiting for a couple minutes, which is new. Not sure if that was a punkbuster thing. I hope not. It should be all updated. Bad news is I get kicked from my own mod to make room for clan members. Good opportunity to go get something to drink and take my meds and try again in a bit hehe.

It definitely sounds promising though. The one thing that made me lose interest in BF3 was that I wanted to do more tactical / competitive / professional game-play... running around randomly gets boring. That is one thing that makes me hesitate about bf4. If its full of lone wolf run and gunners and campers then it is no fun. I see plenty of that in cod.

BO isnt all that bad as the basis for a game. But limited because the maps were all the same and small. There wasnt too much you could do in them but run and gun. I dont know if that means they got rid of mappers that prefer bigger maps, or simply ordered them to make small ones. Dunno about the DLC maps since I didnt buy them. However I didnt like it mostly because of the player base. Too many immature whiners and trash talkers. People like that can make or break a game.

See if its overheating or if the fan is extremely loud. If so open it up and check the heatsink inside of it. I dont have an nvidia but I assume you can do this. The fins could easily be filled up with a big carpet of lint and prevent air flow.

I recommend backing up all the important stuff anyways. An external USB drive would be the most convenient. A pain in the ass to look for it all as well as time consuming but just in case something goes wrong. Not sure about 32-64 upgrades but it might put your x32 windows folder and program files into an old folder for safe keeping.
