Well I like my Macbook pro. I just dont use it for games and a couple other things, which can be said for nearly every laptop. Also not using it as much right now because the battery died and to use it requires it to be plugged it all the time. So at my desk I use the PC. Eventually I will likely get the latest OS. Which is free now by the way.

I know the distance checks were bugged at one point and way too big in some version of the mod but I dont remember which.

Telefragging is an old gaming term, at least back to UT days, when two or more players are trying to occupy the same space. One of them has to go. In this game it will happen if someone using a killstreak where he is elsewhere (RC, AC130 etc) has to respawn. I dont recall what the max distance is for the checks.

Currently two things will affect who gets booted, not including clan membership. How long you have played and what your score is. Final result is a weighted balance between the two. Since a new player has none of each his score is zero and therefore has the lowest priority. I havent been on the server in awhile so I dont know yet if the current mod got transferred over or not. It will use time played and that is it. Score doesnt matter. Means that a sniper that has been on the server 15 minutes with 5 kills will have priority over a player that has been on the server 10 minutes but 25 kills. Whether or not that is fair depends on who you ask but this is how I was asked to do it and it will remain that way when the mod is transferred.

Yes that is basically it. Non-XI members when they join have a weighted score of zero. No points. No play time. If you have been on the server and did nothing for 5 minutes your score would be positive for simply being there. Only exception to that would be if negative scores were enabled for team kills.

Depends on how old the victims were. Adults? Sure. A 10 year old? Not so much. This is one of those things that will never be solved. 99.9% of the time its always the same arguments over and over. Makes most people apathetic unfortunately.

A neighbor of mine got a call like that. She is just your average computer user not really up on stuff like this but was suspicious at what they wanted her to do. Since I pretty much take care of all the usual tech support stuff she told them no thanks and afterwards told me about it.

You all buy some expensive cards. For Christmas the 200 dollar cards I look at seem a bit of a stretch for me.

On the other hand DICE has said in the past it wont release tools in part because they dont think the community is good enough to learn how to use them. Which I find particularly insulting. Its all about the DLC for them as well.

Whats really funny is how Activision tried to pull a fast one with their first day sales figures. Even funnier is how some of the usual suspects in the gaming article world didnt catch it and later had to do 'updates' when it was pointed out to them. Egg on their faces since it made them look like cheerleaders. The problem? The first day figures are sales to the retailers not to customers.

Recommended specs could be the same as cod4/5. I still wouldnt buy it. $60 for the game and $50 for the eventual DLC. Not worth it.

Yes you will have to reinstall everything. Unless its a download steam game with no retail DVDs. In which case you can backup all your local content and reinstall from the backups. I think that also applies to downloaded patches for retail. Starting fresh is a good idea anyways when upgrading operating systems.

I wouldnt call that political correctness so much as an overreaction because some parents that have a problem with it for whatever reason. Schools dont want to deal with them so they make a policy change even the all the other parents wont like it. Could also be a liability issue in our sue-happy world. In a game of tag some kid gets knocked down, hurts his arm, and the parents sue. I do wonder if this policy covers dodge ball and getting beaned in the head with a kick ball. After all.. no touching was involved.

Updates made since the DVD pressing was locked in. They likely started making the retail product at least two months ago.

Thanks. This kind of gametype certainly benefits a larger game. Small ones would do better with Demolition on small maps.

Added a new game, based on Demolition but with a few additions. I invite everyone to give it a try. As with Dem you must destroy both targets (A and then B in that order). Defenders have unlimited respawns. Attackers have a team respawn limit. Destroy target A and the respawn limit is reset. All attackers have a bomb. If the defenders defuse it try try again. Many custom spawnpoints added to maps at runtime. Players respawn on their teammates. Teams that stick together are more likely to respawn together. In the maps chosen some of the added spawn points may be in spots not normally available. Tops of a few buildings, of rocks, or things like that. If anybody gets stuck somewhere note where it is and I will move it. The maps are medium to large in size and allow for a great deal of freedom of movement. When the team moves as a unit the better you push towards the target the closer you will respawn to your teammates. If all players are dead on your team when you respawn it will default to the start spawn areas. Teams must win three rounds to win the game. Maps: Recon Delta 2. Canal BF3, Breakout V2, GB Sharqi, Aerodrome, Processingplant, Pripyat.

But like a care wreck you just cant turn away.
