Dean, is it because you are not contacting an admin to get you in? Beyond the passworded slots, admins are happy to kick non-members to permit space for members. Clan membership has it's benefits. But if you don't ask, you don't receive... I'm not able to play all day, but I'm often available on xfire. That's the preferred tool to get with me on.

So you are saying that, when there are exactly 20 players in the server, and you try to connect as the 21st, you are redirected. And then you try again with the password (you're still trying to be the 21st player) and it still redirects you. Did I state that correctly as you see it? I see that HLSW reports the slot compliment as "20(22)" but if you can confirm we never get past 20, then I will open a ticket - or you can (http://www.xtremeidiots.com/index.php?app=tickets) - and we'll see about getting @@Ruggerxi involved. I can see the way the server is configured for the game by looking in its config file, but I don't have access to any admin dashboard on the actual server, so I cannot verify it has been set to 22 slots.

When the 2 password slots are already in use, you will be redirected regardless. At that point, you should contact an admin through xfire for access. Frustrating, I know, but that's the way it is. Loitering in spectate is a chronic issue with some players - SgtBarnes (with all his aliases) comes to mind. Admins should remind those they see loitering in spectate that such behavior is unacceptable on servers as popular as XIs.

As I recall, if you go to single player, then back to multi-player, it's going to ask for the disc. Once it sees the disc once in multi-player, it doesn't go looking again. Until after you try playing single player again, that is. It takes three Idiots to check a disc, after which there's an ear-splitting "crunch" and the distinct taste of chocolate. .

Yeah, I don't get that price either. With several iterations of the COD franchise after WaW, you'd think the price would be bargain basement by now. I suppose that stands as a testament to the popularity of that particular version. Maybe it'll be on sale some day. Payback can wait. And it's a bitch, btw.

@@Labob - apparently we've been looking at this at the same time. deerejon told me it was playing TDM only now when he couldn't get a hold of you. I can see that it looks like you replaced the config directories, or changed them in some way as they all have today's date. Looks like you just tried to replace the mapcontrol.cfg. I looked at that, too. Nothing wrong as far as I can see in that file. The only thing I can see wrong here is that the openwarfare.cfg file referenced in the server.cfg file is missing from the configs folder. But it's missing from the MW server's configs folder, too. On both the MW and xinam servers, the server.cfg file says it should be in the configs folder. There isn't one on the xinam server at all, but there is one in the server folder on MW. I borrowed the one from the mw server and put it in the xinam server folder, but that didn't work, so I took it back out of there. We may need to have the host (or @@Ruggerxi ) do a restore on this server. Seems like the likeliest chance to recover from this snafu without knowing what was deleted and/or if we can even get it back.

I don't think even balance is supporting legacy punkbuster anymore @@Frags. I can't find files for COD WAW at their site any more. Nor can I find any COD5 patch on our servers anywhere. We should have whatever punkbuster updates is required available here!

@Sitting- au contraire mon frere, the PnkBstrA service is running. The service is set to "Automatic" startup and apparently starts as a consequence of running the game. It has to be an update kind of thing.
