YouSendIt is one of the most popular and contemporary file sharing services. As for email programs, I use Thunderbird, from Mozilla - makers of Firefox. It, too, has an expiration date stamped on it, though. As I understand, one more major update is planned, then the Thunderbird project will be mothballed. They also site the preponderance of web-based email services as the final nail in the coffin of further development. Sad because Thunderbird is a BRILLIANT email client. I've used it for at least the past 7 years or so. Its evolved nicely. That said, and because I have a smartphone, I'm even using my gmail accounts more than ever before. But that's for personal emails. Business emails are another matter entirely.

I've noticed that when I cycle from my primary to secondary weapon, I'll get a duplicate of the primary. I assume one is the single shot, but have no clue why it's there. If I cycle back through the secondary to the first primary, I'm assured that the weapon is in automatic mode. Hope that helps. Pretty curious anyway.

Are you sure your existing box from your ISP isn't already wireless ready? If it has an antenna (although some wireless router designs don't even have a visible antenna) then you might not need to get one at all. Many routers are on 192.168.0.0 or 192.168.0.1 so if you key that into your browser address bar, it should get you to the setup screen for the router. A call to your ISP might clarify the capabilities of the box if you cannot. If you have a very simple cable modem or dsl modem with only one ethernet port to connect one PC, then you definitely need a wireless router. I'm skeptical about the different choices that proclaim they are good/better/best for a particular application like media streaming to connected televisions and such. Any solid router should do well enough assuming you have good bandwidth coming down from your ISP. From Amazon, this looks like a fine choice - and I like the LinkSys/Cisco brand: Linksys E1200 Wireless-N Router There are other choices, of course, to fit any budget and any advanced capability. But again, I think a basic router works well in most cases. More advanced models might be fitting in congested wireless environments and/or where best performance at greater distance from the router is important.

Hey everyone, I use HLSW to get into the XI game servers, and for COD4 I've been getting a strange error. It says something about the server not getting the proper response and being "cycled out." I have to exit the game and come back in and the second launch always takes. Anyone experience this and know how to fix it? Thanks!

Hey guys and gals, Is there a link(s) available to download all the COD4 maps so I don't have to wait for the download in the game getting into a map? I sporadically play COD4 since getting a disc a few weeks ago. Mainly I'm in COD5, but anyway, I sometimes get asked who I am, or challenged about the XI tags since I'm relatively unknown on the COD4 servers. So also I just wanted to say, "Hey!" and yes, I really am XI. Some call me "dj" but that sometimes conflicts with others like DEEJAYKEG, who have been here longer and are well known, so just "Mot" (Tom backwards) is totally cool. Thanks!

You did plug in the secondary power connector on that 550, right? I forgot to do that once, and I think it resulted in no video. Booted otherwise, I think. At least I don't remember getting diagnostic beeps from the BIOS. It really does sound like a monitor problem, though - unless you've verified the monitor works on another computer. Can you access the monitor's built-in menu? And that power supply sounds weak for a system with a 550 in it. I'd recommend a 750W at least. I have an intel I7-950 overclocked to 4.2GHz with an MSI GTX560TX-Ti, and I'm probably close to the limit with my 750W, but its never once shut down on me.

I second Beers on the problems this morning. Got in at the very beginning of a map, and there were no fewer that 5 major CIs that stalled the game for at least 10sec at a whack. I gave up after that map. I know that XI peeps are doing what they can, but I think the service provided by the gaming server host has degraded to unacceptable levels for the dollars spent on renting them. Coming from internet radio myself, I know that it's expensive to provide stable, high quality slots for listeners, or in this case, players. But because of the expense, that stability and quality comes with corresponding expectations. I hope some credits from the host are in the works...

What's chat logging anyway? U mean recording text chat during a map? Can that just be turned off? Sounds like you're on to something there, though. If all COD servers are showing lag spikes regardless of location and assuming there are multiple server locations, then the servers or an immediately adjacent peering network node are removed from suspicion and focus turns to what changes to what's running on the servers becomes suspect. Sherlock Holmes. I'm just sayin'.
